hi, I landed in October last year and came back to US same day. I got my PR cart sent to my friend in Canada and he sent to me. Now I am back to normal wok life in US, my question is - I used to think (until today) that the only action item now for me is to complete 730 days in Canada by October 2022 (5 yrs from landing), so I was planning to move to Cananda permanently in October 2020 to meet the requirement, but then today I read a guy writing in this forum that I (people like me who got PR card and came back to US) must file taxes as well in Canada even though I am not living or earning in Canada. Can anybody clarify? thanks a lot

No, you don't need to file taxes just because you have PR status.

730 days is the requirement to renew the PR card not for getting Canadian passport right ?
