My spouse received an invitation to use the PR Confirmation Portal (yay!). However, she is only visiting me here (on a tourist visa). We indicated her address had changed to Canada for the duration of her visa because we knew we wouldn't be able to visit and check mail in the US due to COVID. But her possessions are still in the US, and she still has a street address with a family member there.
If she "confirms" that she lives in Canada will this mean she would have to pay duties to retrieve her US possessions? We are confused about whether it amounts to declaring that she has made a hard vs. soft landing.
