PR Card Renewal June 2026

Hello,

I applied on June 2 and was able to link my application last week. But there is no status update yet. I am checking my mail daily. It’s so frustrating. It’s already been 45 days.
Any suggestions?

I think it is straightforward.
But there is nothing on the status. There are no messages or update. Is that normal?

Yes, those are hit or miss.

Check the json report. That should provide you with some update.

Use google chrome and open the pr portal where you usually check for any updates.

Then press F12, and developer tools page will pop up. Then refresh the entire page again.

Next, find for case:4000 in the list on the right. You may need to click network. There would be 2 case:4000, one will have no data, the other would contain your data.

Go through the data and it should show your name, email address and status. In status it would be either 'Ready for Review ' or ' completed '. If completed, you should be getting your card in mail within a week.

If you struggle to follow the steps, just press F12, referesh page, then click in the developer tools section on network, then search your first name by pressing ctrl + F. That should show up your info.

Let me know if you find something.

Yes, but I saw this update before I linked my GCKey account.

Your application is done. Wait for your card. When was the status updated? It shows a date and time stamp as well.

It’ll probably take 1–2 weeks for the PR card to arrive in the mailbox. Hopefully.

Update: Today, I was able to link my application to my GCKey account. It now says, “Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.”

I’m hoping to receive approval within the next week or so.
