Please check your JSON.. I know 4 people who applied on July 8th and three got completed JSON at 11:35am today while one application was returned due to invalid passport uploaded.

So I can confirm people from July 8th has got their applications in process.

Still ID 16... I even applied for urgent processing... but I do have a more complex renewal due to spending most of my time outside of Canada accompanying my Canadian spouse... but I submitted lots of paperwork as proof... I am currently in Canada, of course, but plan to travel again in October...

Adding my information. I'm also trying to renew and have an upcoming work trip (end of September) to a country where I need to apply for a business travel visa (Australia subclass 600). I need to provide proof of my right to return to Canada as part of the visitor visa application so I need my PR card urgently to submit it.

• July 16 - Applied for PR card renewal
• August 3 - Applied for urgent processing with UCI
• August 10 - Received response for urgent processing request that an application with my details couldn't be found

Today I also called the helpline and and they said the urgent processing form can only find applications that are "in progress" on their end. I guess mine is not yet in progress. They gave me a temporary file number to try submitting the urgent processing request again. Hopefully it works this time

I applied July 11. JSON updated to Completed today, but there is something on the RejectionReason: "Primary identification is not provided"
I'm pretty sure that I submitted my passport according to the checklist and the files stored on my computer.
Not sure what to do now

If you have not received a formal email about this, then you can ignore this. Sometimes internally there are issues which are corrected manually by the officers. This status will continue and you will have your PR cards (if they don't open a submission window for you, and send you a formal email usually with this subject "

"PR Portal (PR card/PRTD application) - Your application status has been updated | Portail RP (Demande de carte RP/TVRP) - Le statut de votre demande a été mis à jou" and they will ask you to view the application status.​

JSON updated to completed today! There's a rejection reason for back of photo has no date/address but I know that's incorrect and I haven't received an email to resubmit so seems like it's a glitch.

Timeline so far:

This might be a redundant question, just to confirm do we need to put documents for all 5 years ? Or can we put 2-3 years worth of docuements. I have been in canada for most of time during the past 5 years.

I put a letter from my employer which covers the last 3 years then my CRA tax assessment and one bank statement for each of the 5 years

Do we know how much averagely the new PR card is taking time to be received after JSON shows complete?

- As per my knowledge they would mail the card 7-10 days after the JSON is completed. (Majority)
- So add another 5-7 days.
- I have also observed cards received within 7 days once JSON is completed.


I have seen worst so this is the most positive image.

Does one need to submit biometrics for pr card renewal if yhey were exempt at PR applucation yime due to covide restrictions - was allowed to carry forward biometrics from previous work permit application ?
