PR Card Address

Hi,

At the time of landing, can we give an address in Toronto instead of one in Quebec ?

We are under QSW.

It is always recommended to keep your immigration process risk-free, even if it costs you a little bit. If you are landing in Quebec, you are advised to give address in Quebec because you were selected under QSW program, not federal. Giving an address outside of Quebec can raise doubt in officer's mind that you did not intend to reside in Quebec, and may cause delays or other problems. If you don't have anyone, you can always tell them your temporary address, such as hotel or flat.

Please bear in mind that it is not mandatory to give your permanent address the moment you land. You have 180 days to provide CIC with your permanent address after your landing, however your processing of 1st PR card will only commence once they receive your address.
