Is there a specific form to apply for a Canadian passport for the first time, after oath ? The form that is available online states that the applicant needs to have a previous Canadian passport in order to use that form.

Has anyone applied for a passport here in Montreal ? Is it faster to apply via walk-in or by appointment ?

I am guessing your oath might be in-person as well, 27th being a friday. Mine is on 20th. You shopuld be getting the email soon.

In the email I received, states the cermony will be in-person at IRCC. The tracker states that the notification has been sent only.

Update: I am scheduled for an in-person oath here in Montreal on Jan 20, 2023. Looks like things moved pretty quickly, after 7 months of no activity.

Maybe trying calling from a different no. Also try calling between 2pm-4pm,I havr had more luck then, less international calls. Trying reaching out to your MP, sent webform and apply for GCMS notes. The whole thing just sucks. I have had no update since May.

No, the offices at the Nexus interbiew office told me its fine, show them the new Canadian passport and they will make the changes, Maybe take a copy of the old Indian passport also.

I am a paper applicant. I have noticed most of the decsion made applications were submitted before Nov 10-15, 2021. I dont remember seeing even one application completed after Nov 15. For the month of November.
