My friend applied July 2024. He just got approved

Congratulations! You are now a permanent resident (PR) of Canada! IRCC has uploaded an electronic copy of your electronic confirmation of permanent residence (eCoPR) document in the PR Confirmation Portal. The eCoPR document is proof of your PR status and you will be able to use this document while you wait for your first PR card that will be sent to you in the mail.

Yes I got eligibility approved in May 2025
Abd yes I have depended as my wife in canada
I called ircc to check the status

The application remains within standard processing times. For protected person applications inside Canada, it is currently in its 3 months, with processing expected to remain within normal timelines until October 2026.

My timeline as Protected Person Class in Canada:

Feb 2024 - PR applying
April 2025 - Pre Arrival services
April 2025 - Eligibility Approval Letter Eligibility - passed
Criminality assessments - passed and the Medicals assessment - passed.
The Security assessment has not yet started
Final decision - It just says your application in progress we will send you a message once a decision has been made

Please when should I expect next steps? FYI I did reach out to my MP in June 2026 before I got these updates.
