no its not correct did u know anyone who got P1 in last two weeks?
I don’t personally know whether anyone received P1 in the last two weeks unless we verify recent reports. This forum posts are also incomplete because many people never post their updates, and some posts may be delayed or inaccurate.
* For Protection applications, IRCC reports 55,295 applications finalized since January 1, 2026, with 299,460 applications not yet finalized. https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...ion-stats/application-processing-system.html?
* For the Protected Persons one-time initiative, IRCC says it intends to grant PR to 46,000 protected persons and their in-Canada dependants in 2026. By the end of June, 15,000 had become new PRs under that initiative. https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...a/immigration-stats/permanent-residents.html?
* IRCC's official open-data system provides monthly information on PR applications, COPRs issued, etc., . https://open.canada.ca/data/en/dataset/9b34e712-513f-44e9-babf-9df4f7256550?

My timeline as Protected Person Class in Canada:

Feb 2024 - PR applying
April 2025 - Pre Arrival services
April 2025 - Eligibility Approval Letter Eligibility - passed
Criminality assessments - passed and the Medicals assessment - passed.
The Security assessment has not yet started
Final decision - It just says your application in progress we will send you a message once a decision has been made

Please when should I expect next steps? FYI I did reach out to my MP in June 2026 before I got these updates.

Thank you.
Where did you look to see your update like this

main outstanding step appears to be security screening. security screening can involve IRCC and partner agencies, and processing time can vary depending on the application and screening complexity.

there are recent examples of 2024 Protected Person applicants receiving P1, p2 & eCoPR, so the statement that the initiative is making 2024 applicants move faster is not necessarily wrong, but it should be phrased carefully. Also there are likely many 2024 applicants who are not members of this forum/group, hopefully more applicants will share their updates so we can get a clearer picture.
