I am sponsoring my wife to come to Canada under the family class sponsorship program. Does anyone know how long the police certificate is valid for? I read in one of the threads that it is only valid for 3 months. My wife got hers done in February 2013. I am submitting the application in May 2013. So would that mean that she would need to get the police certificate done again? Please give me your thoughts.

Yes, they are only valid for three months, as stated in the guide. Has three months already passed? You should endeavour to do police certificates and medicals right before submitting.

The rule is: it has to reach CIC within 3 months of being issued, no matter what the certificate itself says in terms of validity...
So if your certificate was issued 15th Feb, you should send your application before 15th May, otherwise you need a new one.
Good luck,
Sweden

Thanks so much! If I courier it to CIC tomorrow, then will they acknowledge it the following day or once they open the package?
