Police Certificate needed?

So im abit confused im about to start my common law application soon, and wonder if i need a canadian police certificate.
I lived from May 2013 to April 2014 in canada.
I will get my german certificate as soon im in germany but do i need a canadian police certificate too or not for the application?

Unless CIC specifically asks for one, you do not need to provide an RCMP PCC.

I am hoping someone might have an answer to this question. I am sponsoring my American husband and his two children. At the time that we submitted the application last October, my step daughter was 17. She has since turned 18. As we are still in progress do we now need to submit a Police Certificate for her as well as for my husband?

She does not need one, since she was 17 at the time that your application was submitted, but your husband does. He needs one from every country where he spent more than 6 months since age 18.

You only need police certificates for any country you resided in for more than 6 months OTHER than Canada. Hope this eases your mind.

Thanks Ponga that is what I was hoping. We submitted his when we sent in the application.
