I just hit the 19th month mark, Now what!

Keep waiting - May 6th was our 19 months. Although at April 6th the wait time was still 18 months so we should have found out then. As it stands, we are still waiting. Sorry to be a downer - just don't get your hopes up for quick turnaround good luck with it all!

21 months and 2 days as of today! CIC said I should call them next week if I don't hear back by end of July (agent told me so over the phone 3 months ago).

No; cause naive me was always hopeful I will get within a few days.
I am still stuck at the background check stage.

Same here. BG since 27th feb. And agents are big liars. They also told me last month wait until end of August. Then call us back. They just say it. But they have no clue about anything. Now did you try to call them again? Its end of July?

I called IRCC today and they said my file is in additional verification at Edmonton VO so it will come back to us in November
