For those still waiting, what is your nationality? If you don't mind telling.

That is because I was told the only factor that matters for inland applicants is the country they are from (except when additional docs are required). Specialists and external agencies have to be consulted. When I compared MR time starting from AOR for applicants available in the immittacker website, Chinese, Koreans, Americans and Ukranians applicants from within Canada indeed got it much faster than all other countries.

Did you all apply from within Canada?

Need a suggestion.

I know few applicants waiting from 30 or more months as well. Mine will be 21 months at the end of July.
I am eligible to apply for Express Entry as i have more than enough than required points, should I?
Probably this way i will get my P.R in 6 months. Right now, not sure if it can even take more than 30 months.

Thanks.

My understanding of the process is that the main chunk of the entire time is spent in security check. If your application is in that stage, it makes very little sense to re-apply, because even though the eligibility assessment won't take long, the same amount of time is going to be spent doing the same security check again.

Even in the express entry as the processing time is 6 months.

One of my friends applied via express entry after 6 months of applying via pnp, his pnp background check is still in process but got passport request from express entry last friday.

I wonder why some people get it so fast.

But I suppose that, for paper-based, although it says "background In progress," for them, it is only actually in progress as the last thing, after Medicals passed, that is why some people call it IP2 ("in-progress 2") on the immittacker website.

Some people don't even see it changing from in progress to the other thing (can't remember), because it stays like that only for a few days, and most of us stop looking our myCIC pages at least weekly, after a while, and then it goes back to "in progress."

I don't know why it works like that, but that is when the ~6 months start counting.

I suppose that, since it involves external agencies, this step costs time and money and it is not worthy starting before medicals passed a manual check of eligibility.

BCPNP 18 July 2016 applicant still waiting for PPR.. added my spouse in the file in August 2017. I called CIC and they said your file is in final stages of review. Can someone please help how long is final review process ... it’s already been more than 24 months.
Thank you
