I was checking the status closely with IRCC by contacting them. I did contact them around 2 weeks ago to make sure the officer has requested to extend our medical test (interestingly, they informed me that they did request it 45 days after its expiration date!!!).
All in all, I got the first ghost update on June 5 and I was wondering to see if it was because of medical extension or security check update. So, I did contact them again to double check and it turned out it was because of medical extension. Yesterday, I did call them to check the status and they told me unfortunately there is no update about my security check. However, I got my second ghost update yesterday afternoon.
Regarding to your question, I should say that you cannot see any change in your profile; the only change which will be disappeared right after opening your application is that the status changing from "submitted" to "updated".

On your profile, you don't see any update about the medical. It is not showing it is expired. It is holding this message that "April 10 2017, You passed the medical exam". I knew that it is getting expired after one year because of this I did check with them to see whether they have sent the request for the extension or not.

Hello, rooz12. First of all, congratulations. You have waited such a long time for your PPR. I do hope that the rest of the process including landing will go smoothly. I actually have a question for you. After they requested your CV, have you ever checked the status of your additional documents uploaded? Like your uploaded documents are reviewing, or your documents are being reviewed kind of updates. It seems that it takes longer than 7 months after you uploaded your CV. It will be very very helpful if you may be able to give me such information to understand the time of Security processing. One more time, congratulations.
Did you also get a CV request? I am in the same shoes, after CV request, once I uploaded it changed to no additional documents needed right away. A week after I got a Ghost Update where my medical also changed from "Passed" to "not needed". I called them right away and they informed me that I the ghost update was in regards to my security screening which started on that day.
Hello ordigoo. Yeah I had that request. As for me, for almost a month, it shows that we are reviewing additional documents provided. It has not changed to being reviewed. I am uncertain how long it would take. How about you? Have you ever called them recently?
Yes, that is right. I asked MP to follow up my application and they informed me that my application has been sent for security check in August 2018 and then they did request my CV on Oct 31, 2018.
Thanks. If you are talking about any update on my cic profile, I should say that no update. It still saying if you have not yet uploaded the requested file, do it as soon as possible.
I would recommend you to request your GCMS information. It will take around one month to get the note but you could see the details about when your additional documents have been uploaded.

You are lucky,i got decision made on may 1 ,but no ppr or landing appointment
Give them a call bud. This might help in your case. When did you applied tho?
