Yes. I at sometime thought that they have lost my file or maybe Canadapost never delivered it. Weird thoughts were coming in my mind. But now I am Calm.

The mind plays all kinds of tricks; worry to fear to paranoia.

He said that its okay ,,just ignore it ..as I have submitted the RCMP certificate..he said most of the times they send mass mails like these as a reminder to the applicants of almost same timeliness,so that their process not get delayed..

Hi, I got my note just today, in my criminality there is a SUB ACTIVITIES as:

Type: RCMP Screening
Status: Fingerprints Required

I don't know what is this means, but maybe explained why CIC sent me the email and asked my Police Certificate.

Got a standard response from the CIC in exactly two months after my email.

What's weird, is that the response came from Sydney, NS. Which means what? My application has never reached Ottawa office yet?!

"Good morning,

Please be advised that your application is in the queue to be reviewed by an agent. You will be contacted in due course.

Thank you,

Files only reach Ottawa, once CIO Sydney issues an AOR, the file number. Your file is still at Sydney.

In my case the application was received on 25th may and i havent got the AOR as yet but i got a reply from an ottawa email saying that they have my application and i will contacted if needed

You need to concentrate more on the notes section of the GCMS note. You will get a clearer picture of the position of things with your application.
What does the notes section of your GCMS note state? Can you also reproduce your Paper file history? When is your due date?

Those will give you an idea if your application is being treated as expected.

Position of application is not matter. Now NS is also processing some of the immigration file to reduce the load on Ottawa office, they are not finalized the decision on application, NS is responsible till security check after that CPP-Ottawa is responsible for finalize the application.
According to my knowledge, Rest CIC knows better. :) :) :)

Hi all,

My husband application was received through courier on 13th June 2014 @ CIC Nova Scotia. It's been 6months and no AOR yet.

Please my seniors does anyone know what the problem is. Please advice me. We are worried thanks in advance

Hi,

Has your credit card been charged? I suggest you send an email to CIO-Sydney-Search-Enquiry@cic.gc.ca with the relevant details of your application like primary applicant's first and last name, UCI number, DOB, date the application was sent.

You can also call CIC at 1888-242-2100 but the agents at the call center are unable to assist much with such cases, but there is no harm in trying.

Application received 24th July. No credit card charges, no AOR.

I had a call on 24 November asked typical questions. I received an email from Ottawa confirmed that my application is there and if they need they will contact me.

Question: Is there any OPNP applicant without AOR whose credit card was charged?

Why Ottawa instead of Sydney?
