This is interesting to me because I mailed out my application on June 26th with the CIC generated online receipt...my credit card statement showed it was charged $550 on the 28th by CIC....just two days. I don't know if I'm looking at mine right but the post above didn't get charged....

I also paid by credit card.. And got charged $550 right after.

Pls how can I apply for MNPM program. Am in Nigeria. What is the procedure, what do I need to do. Pls I need a quick response on it.tnx

sometimes i think all OPNP was a scam to collect the fat $1500 money and get away with it and put us in pain.

Oh please. Are you serious?

I believe anything can happen now. This whole process is driving everyone crazy.

He's May applicant, should have it by now. Shouldn't he? ???

So am I. mine reached 23 may.

there is a bunch of us who applied in May with no AOR.

it is totally ridiculous and unacceptable.

we reserved +12000 in bank for more than 6 months
we took IELTS test
we paid university tuition fees
we paid 1500 process fee

we were told this stream is on "PRIORITY"

WTF
now we are begging for AOR after 6 month of fooling around.
and who knows how long it is going to take after that.

Damn it, CIC sucks big time. >:(

Exactly bro, same situation. CIC sucks. they are making everyone fool. They took thousands of dollars from each student for tuition fee and now they are giving us more pain.

I understand the frustration. However, the Government, which obviously is supposed to represent interests of Canadians, pursues its own goals and follows its procedures. And I think it's clear for everyone that their No1 priority is definitely not "To process every foreigner's application ASAP". Most read the news, I think it's not hard to draw a conclusion that background checks are going to become more comprehensive which adds time to processing of an application. In the end of the day, would we want to immigrate to a country which wasn't a safe place to live? :)

And when I hear a complaint about anything (not processing delay in particular), I can't help saying that there is always a choice.

Semmir, I understand your frustration. I do feel cheated too because of the reasons you posted. But we have to understand few things. It is more of our bad luck than their inefficacy. We applied in the wrong time when cic is making changes. Secondly, until you are a pr/citizen you have no rights and privileges. CIC will think about Canadians first; thats what a government does in terms of jobs, national security, illegal fraudulent entry. When i get frustrated i say to myself that there must have been a pretty darn good freaking reason why i decided to leave my home country n immigrate here. We should focus on the reason and we will feel less miserable. Also, we are luckier that we are not under ee ( as clearly posted on cic). Which means we are on first come first serve, have more transparency and certainty. Happy holidays to all!! :)

Happy Holidays !!! :) :) :) :) :)
Enjoy and hope for the best in coming year!!!!! :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

Cheers !!!!!

thanks for sympathy, reassurance and comments.

with all said,
problem is PNP, CIC, whatever organization, they never keep their end of the bargain.

have you ever thought why we paid efing $1500? so that we get $1500 worth of service (otherwise it is a money grab theft). to me it means we should get at least fast processing. just the PNP certificate took 6 months and now for CIC another 6 months without a response. the whole Express Entry process (after selection of candidate) is said to be 6 months and does not require 1500, tuition fee, money in the bank, etc.

THIS IS NOT FAIR (in a country that claims to be fair to everyone, not only to some residents which is ridiculous and a strong form of institutional discrimination), after all we are seeking to be a resident of Canada.

I have simply lost my trust to CIC/PNP government.

aah,
and the background check, ???

have they not done this stupid check on when we applied for study permit? it is all just stupid excuses from the CIC to cover backlog delays.

12 months to do background check! for 260,000 new immigrant each year, half of Canada should be working in CIC just to do background check ;D. and we know how understaffed they are. it is a joke.

does It make any sense to you guys?

sorry for the burst of feelings

semmir, no need to apologise. You are 100% right and no one can contest or argue. Why ontario pnp only. Why everyone is affected. Why 1500. The burst of emotions, i was having this for a long time. But then it did not solve the problem but made me feel miserable. World is not perfect and life is not fair; we cannot control things happening to us. :) Happy holidays!

Hang in there semmir and anyone else whose frustrated (which includes myself too lol).

Perhaps with this new EE going live in a few weeks CIC will have the resources to carryout whatever dog and pony show is needed on their end to have our applications processed.

All the best to everyone. Have a safe and stress free holiday. :P :P
