Hi,

I'm currently in the process of applying for BC PNP. My current visa runs out in a couple of weeks. I'm trying to figure out what exactly I need to be able to apply for a bridging open work permit.

Once I submit all of my documents to BC PNP and they get approved will I be able to apply for a bridging visa?
If so, what's the process?

My timelines are getting close and I want to ensure I remain as a legal employee.
I'm struggling to find good documentation online, any advice is appreciated.

Not yet, you would still need to submit a resident permanent application through the provincial nominee class (that I believe it's just on paper). In addition, you would need to receive an email that acknowledges that they received your application package and an application number was created for your resident permanent application (this is the AOR - for the paper application). After that, you should be able to apply for the BOWP according with the links below:

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio.../extend-permit/bridging-open-work-permit.html
https://www.cic.gc.ca/english/work/...?q1_options=1i&q2_options=2c&q3_options=2c_ii

What alternatively you may can do is to apply, online, for a closed work permit with your employee (not sure all the requirements - but I think there are a couple of posts in the forum about it).
