my application was received on August 17th 2012, and since then, i have been tracking my ecas. I used the same client id on my pgwp to keep track, so yesterday i logged on and e-cas says application received, when i clicked on the application received link, it says " we received your application for permanent resident on august 17". have anyone else being on this situation without getting the actual AOR on the email???????. I provided my email to CIC and have been checking my email inbox and spam. Most of the august applicant received their AOR through email but i didn't receive anything like that uptill now. pls shed some light. I am getting worried ::) ::)

I think you should send email to sydney office CIO

What will i tell them in the email?? I am only wondering if anyone have the similar situation??? and whether i can still receive AOR through email?

I think you should wait end of september before trying to do anything. I see on august thread that are still lot of people who don't have their AOR. I am pretty sure by the end of september you should have received something.
But since you are able to open your ECAS with the client ID, do you see somewhere in that website any other information like payment receipt or file number?

Thanx Rosty2, and nope, i didn't see any other information except that they received my application on august 17th. I will wait till ending as u said.

Personally I think its way too early to expect an AoR. Most of us received an AoR 2 months after the file was received. File received status does not automatically mean you should get an AoR. AoR is after initial review of completeness of your docs. This also does not imply that they might not need any further docs. from you either. After AoR, a Visa officer reviews your case extensively,

Be patient and enjoy the process as getting worried unnecessarily is not going to get you anything. Neither will it get the processing done faster than it would otherwise.

most of august applicants already got their AOR through email. i am also august applicant and dat's why i am concerned..

ujbaby,
Do not worry....yours will come too. I was also worried but then this morning I just saw my AOR from my email. The important thimg is that you can view yours on e-cas. :) :) :)
It will come soon....maybe tomorrow morning! have faith!!!

shouldn't worry too much at this point.
I've received mine... 3 mth after they've received my case :/
but very soon after that, I've received all other requests in a short period of time ;D ;D

I'm in the same boat as you ujbaby. Ecas is showing application received, but no AOR for me. I'm hoping it will either come in the mail or get emailed to me or my boyfriend later today.

up till now no AOR for me other than ecas. The wait is killing.... :( :(

Try not to worry...they may be working on the file behind the scenes. From my GCMS notes, I noticed they did some steps like criminality, etc before sending out sent the AOR + Medical request about 6 - 8 weeks later.

I tried to understand the process as best I could from my GCMS notes and I noticed that each officer has a unique ID # and the application seems to go through the hands of over 12 officers. lol Each step seemed to have a different officer ID #. Not sure how they keep the notes in chronological order b/c I was dizzy looking at some many numbers/dates. lol

hmmm, so it's not even assign to a particular officer??? thanx for the information dear senorita :)

Based on my GCMS notes, I doubt the file is assigned to one officer. But it's possible that specific tasks are assigned to some of them. e.g. when the file is sent for final review, only a program manager can approve/reject the application. Then another sends the PPR or refusal letter. This could explain some of the delays as there will already be other files in the queue before yours.
Anyway, try not to worry too much.
