Good morning. I heard something today and thought to share. A friend of my friend obtained PR through this pathway and decided to travel to his home country where he claimed he was persecuted on a direct flight. Unfortunately for him, he was denied entry back into canada at the port of entry, that he violated the PR card. Please let us be mindful of how we do things on this humanitarian application.

But on the other end if look .
therational answer should be proved from this “ like if some withdraws his/her claim or hie is refused then eventually he would be made to go back prosecution country . But if he get pr through ,means accepted the he is protected person .
So if some body withdrawn got pr by other means,it could be marriage or this public policy . He shouldn’t face this .because lots of peaple withdrawn the claim before there hearing and went back home or lots withdrawn to out their new applicaion as canadian spouse and spousal appliction too go through the humanitarion and compassionate office.” I made my point and rest my case .

You are also correct, because I was told this individual argue it , that he wasn't no longer a refugee ad he withdrew his claim. long story short... they didn't allow him entry. Just a sad one.

Look at any correspondence you have received in the past from IRB. Your RPD file number will be written there. ‘In the claim for refugee protection of’ should have your name. Or your family members name if you are the principal applicant. Basically the name of the person whose claim is being withdrawn

Some people still have their immediate families back home, is unfortunate.

I wish everyone get thier loved ones here . And immigration might clear it that the pathways exempts us being protected person or not .

Samething I argue with my Lawyer when she said one can visit his or her home Country after getting PR through Pathway.To me,I don’t think is possible to visit home Country.
But looking at it logically,after withdrawing your Refugee claim,one should be able to visit home country since you are no more a Refugee Claimant.

I think there's more to this story. As far as I know and from what's written on their website +legal help a humanitarian pr holder cannot be punished because they traveled to their home country or renewed their passport. It is written black and white on Canada legal law site. Well I'm planning to go back to my home country soon and I will update you guys when I come back.
