Passports to CPC Ottawa- Oct 2017

Hey guys. Application aprroved on 20th of NOVEMBER and passport delivered on 30th October. I think they print visa after it’s aprroved . My account says your application has been aprroved but I called them today and they told me visa is not printed yet...

I've seen someone whose passport delivered on the 03Nov has got "approved" status and shared in the mini tracker (https://myimmitracker.com/en/ca/trackers/passport-processing-tracker) So I am expecting mine to change status these few days.

Guys, a quick question:
After the application is approved (MyCIC account, with counterfoil visa number), does it mean that the visa is already stamped on the passport?

From experience, it means that the visa is stamped in your passport. The approval came after I was told that the passport was in the printing room so I presume that once the visa was stamped they update the application to show it has been approved.

My husband and I just landed yesterday at Peace Arch (Douglas). I was worried that it would be very busy since it was the day before Thanksgiving, but it turned out not too bad. What we needed were only our passports, CoPR and work permits. We have also brought our financial proof but no one asked for it.

We arrived at the border at around 9:30 am. Wait time was about 20 min. We then drove to Bellingham to do some shopping but failed to get anything we wanted. We were back at the border at noon and waited in the car for 40 min. We were asked if we have bought or picked up anything from the US (No), if that was our car (it was a rental for one day), if we will ship anything else to Canada later (No, we already lived in Vancouver). The officer directed us to the secondary inspection. There was no one in line and we were called immediately. The whole process took 15-20 min. We were asked a few questions: have we ever been arrested, ever been denied entry to Canada, ever been asked to leave Canada etc. We then signed our CoPR, provided the mailing address for the PR card. The officer also gave us a form in case we have to move before we receive the PR card because I told him that we are planning to buy a home. He suggested us not to use the work address for the PR card because he wasn't sure if we will have to sign for it. The officer gave us a document about things to know about the PR to read while we waited for him to finish the paperwork. He called us back 10 min later and voila! We became PR and happily drove back to our home in Vancouver.
