I think it was around 10pm(Toronto time), and got an update email next day 9:43pm.

I check my CIC account on last Friday afternoon around 4pm (Alberta time), it showed "Approved". Next day in the afternoon i got email about the account updates.

I don't think there is a pattern. CIC works randomly.

If you are lucky, you send it on Monday then you get it on Thursday, I have seen it.
But it is heavily depending on the officers, sometimes it takes more than 2 weeks from the day you send the passport.

Ottawa received mine on May 7,2018 and sent back May8,2018(return tracker activated)
