Passport to CPC Ottawa - December 2016

i am from Edmonton but I am planing to next week I have doubt about new yrear holidays is it immigration department will work on holidays????

Coutts is open 24 hours with no holidays even on 31st dec

Hey, i landed at Coutts border on June 10th 2016, and i went there from Edmonton, although i left Edmonton late because of what i read on the forum that Coutts border is opened 24 hours. i can confirm that i got to the border a few minutes before midnight and another family was behind me, that family also came to do landing also. But the officers attended to me and asked the family to come back next day. The officers gave that family a hotel address to go to. So my point is that things go very smooth at Coutts border but you must not assume it is opened 24hrs. Try to be there early.

For anyone else looking for an appointment in Calgary, after 20 minutes on hold I was told that there's a three week wait for an appointment. IRCC will email the office, who will then be in touch with me to make the appointment.

ohk...thanks for info... I will be going tomorrow early morning and will be there by 10am... I called the coutts border n they told that it is open tomorrow with no holiday exception for immigration services... So will be goin tomorrow...if anybody wants to go... Let me know...

Same with mine, Sent PPs on 16th delivered 23rd.

No update so far..They are taking longer time this month..Before lots of other received back in a week or 10 days max.

That's not true, they will not work after 11PM for immigration.

Last time I was there for WP renewal..and they asked couple of people to come tomorrow morning and suggested them to spend a night in a motel there.

It's best time to go there in the morning. PM will be a bit busy after 8PM. if you go after 6 PM waiting time is approx 2 hrs.

Mailed my passport on 15th, Canada Post notified delivery on 19th but got another delivery notice on 20th, this time signed (does this mean that it was actually received on 20th??). No update on MyCIC since then, return Xpresspost hasn't been activated either.. :'(

Yes, you were supposed to write the tracking number down.

Damn.Don't know why I didn't think about that.But I should expect it in the mail within a few days of mycic decision changing to approved,right?
