My father just received the PHEP letter. I just dont know how to react!!!! I am sooooooooo excited and happy.... ;D ;D ...... In how many days do they send the passports back? 8)

Yipeeeee I am so happy.. They have called my father to New Delhi on Monday to pick up our passports and she said collect them with Visa stamped. I dunno if that is positive but after trying to repeatedly calling and emailing the NDVO they have finally responded...

Did you submit Option C print out or NOA for 2010, 2011 and 2012?

You could apply for GCMS notes under the Privacy Act.

Thanks for your comments, but I did submit Option C for 3 years. Now that I'm asking around, I guess I missed the second part of the step - which says " Your parents and or grandparents must apply for permanet residence. The applications for both sponsorship and permanent residence should be filled out and sent at the same time". I thought the sponsorship package on-line included all the forms required.

But I can't find the application package for permanent residence. I have been spenidng the whole afternoon to look in their website, still no luck. Please help... Thank you.

Good News guys, My parents received a call from immigration officer today that their passports are ready.
My parents medical is expiring on 22 JAN so the officer said "either you reach Canada by 22nd or I will be sending the re-medical papers again". Obviously , parents will be reaching here by 22nd now. So happy. It was a loooong wait. finally over this whole waiting game.

Applied - July 2008
Medicals done - dec 2012
Passports sent - Dec 2012
Status changed to in process on Nov 13th, 2013, STATUS IS STILL "IN PROCESS"
Call received - Jan 16th, 2014

CIC web /english/information/applications/sponsor-parents.asp
is where you should be getting the forms from. The old location and old forms are still there, hope you didn't use the old forms. Feel sorry for you, please check and you may just send it in again hoping 5000 is not reached. Good Luck.

IMM 0008, IMM 5669 and IMM 5406 forms are for PR application. Did you submit forms with your parents original signatures? Photocopy / Fax /Scanned copy of the forms are not allowed.

my time line is as follows.

Applied July 2008.

Medical march 2013.


They want me to prove financial support to family. my sister as dependent.
My case was simple. Until
last year my sister got married. I sent an email to CHC and asked to withdraw her.
But in few months. She separated from her husband due to domestic violence and very controlling behavior.
1)
Now CIC wants me to prove that she was student while married.

2)Financial dependent on us. Which i can prove with my remittances receipts.
3)finaly divorce certificate. Which is in process. It takes 90 days. Which almost over. I should have it in few days.
Now, Plz suggest what can be done to reply 1st issue.

1. If she was not student, you can write letter to CHC informing them in detail of the situation your sister had to go through (mention abusive relationship, etc, tell them she couldn't because she was FORCED by them due to their CONTROLLING behaviour and ask for compassion/consideration). Tell them she is back living with parents and supported by parents now as she is single again

2. Financial assessment may also mean they want to check Option-C's again to make sure you're in compliance of LICO, as well as remittances.

3. Divorce certificate copy should be sent with reply to CHC with 1, 2 above.

Thanks. I am on my way home to review all the docs. I am sure I used new forms but I will double check. I've just read your comments on the other tread too. Yes, I need some luck to make it before 5000 cap. Thank you.
