this DIS is confusing, if it's really final stage then its sitting there since that long? from what I have read here, its different for spouse that when it goes in-process it means they require something but i am not 100%
i think final stage is FCU-RFV ..where RFV is ready for visa...
in this Forum many members hav In process status in december..My personal opinion before was also same as you..that they require smthng..then only it goes in process afte App. Rcvd..otherwise direct to decision made..
However,we dnt rcvd any other req. nor any other forum members..So, cnt say wht lies ahead..

There is some proof of the above in my case. May be same applies to PGP and Spouse. My ECAS changed to In-Process on 16th Dec. Same day I got a call from CIC asking me for a copy of PCC from Ireland where I lived for 4 years as they do not have it on the current file. And one of the forum members told me that FCU-DIS is decision stage but that doesn't seem to be the case as sidhu10's file is beyond FCU-DIS now and no decision has been made.

yeah..you r right..actually ND is not following any rule i guess..or may be we dnt understand..
our GCMS notes were generated on 17th DEC..in-process ecas frm 6 dec..bt der is nothing in gcms notes where they had requested anythng after 6th..so it is nt the case where we missed the call or dnt rcvd mail..otherwise it must be listed on notes...

One thing more..we had done our med. on 22dec..but our validity is till 23 jan(For father and dependent)
And it is 17 jan for mother..i dnt understand this..our med.were done on same date..then why our validity dates different????
it may be bcz mothers medicl report ws opened on 17th and father, dependents on 23rd..
but its kind a strange..why they took a week...

This is not uncommon. My father, mother, myself and brother got our medical done on the same day and as per the GCMS notes my mother's medical expires on 10 April and my father's on 11 May. Nothing listed under my name or my brother's name. There are two possibilities. Either they opened medicals on different dates or the DMP's did not send the medicals together.

WAIVER is used in two circumstances. 1 for eligibility and 2 for interview. Most probably the WAIVER in your notes is for eligibility. This is done when proper relationship is established between the sponsor and the PA and dependents if any. Interview might already be waived for you as is done in most cases depending on the documents you provide and if there is no police service or no contradicting info is involved.
