visa office cpp-ottawa..... ecas says decision made as of 04 august 2012 does any body how long its gona take for ppr .

you are in the same situation as me and Mockava. I have still not heard anything from CPP-O since 'decision made' on August 4. I tried emailing them, but they sent the standard response saying that as my application was in standard processing times they would not respond to my questions.

@ northclare

same hare i emailed cpp-o several times no reply yet i think i should ask mp to inquire about the status .
did anyone got request to send passport recently ???

thanks

When does CIC assign a different file number (starting with an F or B) for the files?

Ours is still a 12-digit all numerical number...is that when medicals are requested?

When u get your sponsership approval the file number starting with F will be written on top so wait for the letter

Hi Northclare and Mockava - I can see following scenarios:

1. CPP-O is sitting for 6 weeks now on your files, after decision has been made, and not doing anything on your files - It is bizzare.
2. CPP-O has forwarded file/instructions to your respective LVO's for PPR, and LVO's are busy enough to look at your files and issue PPR.

Hope you hear something soon.

yes, it looks like the transfer process between Ottawa and LVOs is not working properly... either Ottawa is not transferring the files... or LVOs does not know that the files were transferred... may be files transferred from Mississauga and files with decision made transferred from Ottawa are in the same line-up waiting for initial review... hopefully they will figure out the process soon...

PPR should be sent out by CPP-O on behalf of LVOs. Since CPP-O has finalized the files, there is no too much work left for LVO except passport stamping. It is different from the files transfer from CPC-M to CPP-O after sponsorship processing.

Personally I know two of my friends who had the same situation as Northclare and Mockava: PR DM on Aug 4, 2012, but both had got PPR in about 2 or 3 weeks and already had passports mailed back from Seattle.

The folks you are mentioning who got stamping from Seattle would have got PPR request from Seattle and not from CPP-O. There is a guy on trackitt.com who got PPR by email from Seattle (not CPP-O) and stamping was done by Seattle. The Guys's parents did medical in Canada and were visiting Canada and that is why their PPR came from Seattle. Seattle will not issue PPR, if your parents are in your home country (Other than USA)

So the status changed and says "In Progress". They've started working on the case on September 10th 2012. Hopefully we receive the passports back with visa stamped......

the second scenario seems more likely since passports are not allowed to be mailed out of the issuing country.

I do believe it is scenario nr 2. We can only wait, nothing to be done, unfortunatelly.

Our mom can enter Canada with no visa, so it does not matter, can come here and we can go to USA as well. I am not sure about the mailing... Not familiar with the official rules re mailing from our country.
