PCC - 45 days is very generic Each case is different but we got ours in 2 days.

==============

As for getting visa by original date, I don't think its true at all - since I am earlier than Rick and there are others who are earlier than me as well, I believe "sada dosa" cases are getting in first ( i.e, no complication and everything in order )

"sada dosa" couldn't suppress my laughter at that one! Took me back to the busy udpipi restaurants in Mumbai...

FYI. Rick2007's timeline in the sheet is very close to yours. Not sure if that's the right time.

As regards the OP's PCC I guess they do not have a valid (or at least recently expired) Indian Passport, hence that could be the reason why the PCC would take that much time.

I disagree with this. Still a lots of people from 2007 applicant after Nov 2011 in ND like Raju.ND follow the sequence from the date they recieved the file from CPC-M. True about the complexity, File with dependent is delayed (like Veru). Positive thing is once they start processing, it becomes faster due to new process (As we already fill all forms and send almost all doc in Nov2011).

Thanks a million all of you for best wishes.

just update from myside:

When CIC asked us to provide additional documents in Nov - 2011, we rushed for all document process and we finished all documents within 15 days including PCC and we send all documents to CPC-M in 10 Dec 2011. luckily post office we choose it was the same post office which mentioned at CPC-M post box no. - Station "A". Even i don't know until Lady at counter told me that this is station A where all the immigration documents are coming in and transfering all documents to CIC Office and She told me your documents i am going to transfered right now to post box for CIC so tomorrow first thing in morning your file will be at CIC office.....

This post office is located at Dundas street Mississauga between Cawthra and Tomkon road Mississauga.

surprisely I send PCC was from local police station and CIC except it... even unknowingly we did not bothered to go at District level PCC and CIC except it without any trouble at all. PCC i provided was from Local police station from small town. .....what a lucky i am...... :o

One thing for sure, it is totally either on your luck or Officer at CIC who is looking on your file. My file was transfered to New - Delhi in Feb 2012 and i got request for Medical and Passport submission in Aug - 2012 and received Visa within 2 months i.e. - Sept 3rd 2012.

all the best to all of you and hope all of you get Visa very soon without any more hassles.

regards

lucky for you, I rushed completed application on Dec 11th & CIC got it on Dec 12th... & they started processing my sponsorship application on Jan 18th, 2012.... but sponsorship was approved on April 16th & transferred to CPC-O, waited till June 20 for medicals & update on eCAS came on August 25th. Even though mine was from 2007 & no dependents. Now stuck till next step.

Canada - on Indian Passport

I begin to worry as I do not see “in process” as of yet.
We have applied in July 2008, sent additional documents in Jan 2012, got approved in March 2012; meds done in May and police certificate sent in June.
Since then, nothing …..

I have same situation as yours. Applied in Aug 2007, Doc and passport sent in Jan 2012 and remedicals done in May 2012 but on ecas it still shows Application received in Mar 2011. no update even regarding their letter for medicals . I dont know the officer working on our file dont like to update or what. The wait is getting really frustrating ...

Lot of people are in the same boat. Do you see another line in eCAS with "medical results have been received"?

Yes, some 6 weeks after mom's medical, the e-file indicated "medicals have been received". However, since then ..... no further updates. I do not even know if they have received the police certificate. It has been delivered as I checked with Canada Post, but CIC is often disorganized and does not file documents properly. I know this because, in the past, they have asked me for the same document twice.
