Just curious — did you notice any difference between the temporary file number mentioned in your Additional Document Request PDF and the file number shown in the acknowledgment you received after submitting the documents?
Was the prefix changed from “XF” to “F” while the rest of the number remained the same, or did you receive a completely new file number starting with “F” ?

Hello All,

I am trying to link application to GCkey account but it is not finding any application. I am using passport information as I haven't received any AOR or document request yet. But I see some friends were able to link application to GCkey account even before the AOR.

I would appreciate if someone could comment, I am not sure if am missing anything when trying to link application.

I got the same automatic reply email, and yes, you’re right — it didn’t mention or acknowledge that they received our documents.

Thanks. Is this the email reply you got? I noticed it doesnt acknowledge that the documents were received.

The email says if you wish to submit documents we recpmmend you do so via webform. I am getting paranoid now thisnis confusingm the letter daid faster methodnis email and the automatic reply says send through webform.

Yes, it appears to be a generic email, so we should be fine.

Hey! That is a good observation on your part. I completely overlooked this but yes you are correct.. The trailing numbers stayed the same just the prefix changed from XF to F

Hi all. Need clarity on something. Hoping you can assist. Besides a long list of additional docs, they also asked to resubmit the IMM 5771 checklist. Am I to redo the whole checklist again or just the documents they asked to resubmit?

I'll re-do the whole check list but only attached what they've asked for and then a letter of explanation saying what you did.

I have received request for additional documents . They are asking for original birth certificate which I have already translated ,notarized from India. I have attached original and translated copy with notarized declaration. Did anyone receive similar request or if you can guide me what document they want ?

FYI, I was able to link my application to GCKey using the temporary file number I received. I just removed the “X” from the file number and it worked. Please give it a try
