Parents and Grandparents Sponsorship 2019

Hello there ,

I am new here. I applied for my mom and dad. Application receiving date is June 18 2019. Application status is IN PROCESS. My parents have never asked for medicals / pcc or biometrics yet. I don’t know if it’s normal!

I am really tensed as I know many of the parents are already arrived in Canada.

I wonder if there are more people who are in the same situation as me.

we were in the same situation untill 18th when we received Biometrics which is surprising as my parents have already submitted their biometrics last month for tourist visa's i would suggest hang tight things are moving hopefully u hear soon

Not sure about the location but I received two different email one on Saturday with below footer info:

Other one I received on Monday with following footer:
(GCMS user ID)
(Office’s city name)
Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada

Both of them I replied with same email id, waiting for their response.

if you look at the footer of the attachment you will see the office name of who send the email.
Like Etobicoke Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada etc.

What is your parents LVO and when was medical requested? Is it CPC-M?

For my Parents' case: LVO is CPC-M, and the medicals were requested on June 3rd, but that was when I wanted to extend their visitor visa. So, the medical done for extension of Visitor Visa has been updated for PGP app on August 13 2021.

For my PIL's case: I was mistaken while updating the LVO, the SP approval letter states it's CPC-M and not NDVO

The medical was asked on July 26. We completed it on Aug 02 and on Aug 19, myCIC was updated to medical passed. No change on ECAS yet.

Ecas may change after sometime as "Medical received on XXXXXX".
What happened to medical requested on Dec 19, 2019.

The photo is professional so we don't expect it to get rejected.

When can we expect eCOPR and Physical PR cards?

Hello. I’ve been a silent member for some time and have found this forum extremely helpful. I’m in a dilemma and hope someone can help.my parents are in Canada for last year on supervisa and are now planning to
go back home for a month. My question is if in their absence immigration calls to confirm their physical presence here and I tell them they have left amd are coming back in a month, will they ask them to send their passports to their nearby consulate or can they come back and have inland passport request and virtual landing done?their LVO is London.

Permanent Residence

2. Medical results have been received.

We haven't even received DM1 letter yet, we haven't even received request for Medical yet....
This is weird.....

I am in the exact same situation, don’t know what to do!!

Got Email - !4 Aug 2021 from Vancouver VO asking for Last entry into Canada along with 1st entry into Canada and address
Email sent by me - 14th Aug 2021 with all info about address and entry into Canada for all 3
Got Portal credentials for Virtual PR landing - VO vancouver 14th Aug 2021, On Saturday 1 hr after my email
Portal Uploads - 14th Aug 2021, Submitted Pics,Filled address aga8n and declare yes that all 3 applicants are in Canada.
Today 18th Aug 2021 - Got Ecopr in the portal which I downloaded and Will apply for Sin and Halth Card tomorrow in BC

I just received Passport request letter in email on Aug 19. Filled out webform to New Delhi Visa Office that parents here in Canada. Waiting for next step. Can you please update @robertp @YuliaYulia @laxsun @serious_cheese ?

Found the following line on my GCMS, any suggestions what I should do?

**Application currently on hold due to current pandemic/travel restrictions. Awaiting further guidance/instructions in regards to processing oversees applicants.**


As far as I know, there's no travel restrictions that would forbid parents to travel between China and Canada.

Eligibility is passed, medical is passed/ extended to 2022. Don't know about security/bg check but it's been awhile so should be either in progress or passed.
I don't know what else should I expect/ waiting for?
