Hi Chikki24, First congratulations, second I want to know if the applicants needed to repeat medical? Because I noticed timeline that medical passed after year. My mom pre arrival letter, medical, police certificate was on Oct. 2019 and medical finished in Feb 2020 but medical passed results received Jan 2021 and after that no update so curious. Thanks

Hi,
My parents online status on ECAS say "Decision Made" but the status on myCIC online account still says the application is still in process. We have also received "Pre Arrival Services" letter couple of weeks ago. We have not received any passport request.

Can anyone please guide how long could it take to get the passport request?

Hello Friends

I have a question if someone else went through a similar experience or credible information, Kindly response be back

Mother Sponsorship
Year of Birth: 1936
Apply 2018
ME Passed: 2019-AUG-30
AOPR Issue: 2019-Sept-17
ME & AOPR Expired: 2020-AUG-29

Unable to travel due to COVID till now, Now I am planning to apply again for her immigration AOPR to re-issue.
The question having in my mind,

1) How to start the process again, is there an email sent out to whom? or any form that needs to submit, along with what documents?
2) What is the response timing from immigration?
3) Is there any re-medical required ? or someone did receive any pre-medical examination for their parents.

My In-law received PPR request in march 2021 however peoples in India who helped her sent wrong size photos with passport so it got returned. And then India went into lockdown. My question is now that VFS is gradually opening can I simply mail passport back to them. Or should i wait for another invite to submit passport?

Hi everyone,

COPR for my parents was issued before March 18, 2020 ; however due to covid they couldn't travel and the COPR is expired now.

We received and email (sub: Are you able to travel to canada soon?) on Jan 12, 2021 saying that IRCC was able to extend your medical exam validity and reply to the email within 10 days ONLY if you are sure you could travel to canada before May 31, 2021. As my parents were not prepared to travel at that time, so we didn't reply to the email.

Now as per the new update on IRCC website
"We’ve already contacted most people with expired COPRs issued on or before March 18, 2020, to explain what to do. If we already sent you instructions to do a new medical or submit updated documents, follow them and wait for us to tell you what happens next. You don’t need to contact us again.

We’re also working to contact anyone else with expired COPRs, including those issued after March 18, 2020.

What happens next:

  • We’ll send you an email about your application.
  • If you answer the email and tell us you still want to come to Canada, we’ll tell you what to do next.
  • We may ask you for new medicals and/or updated information.
  • If you don’t respond, we’ll keep your file closed and you’ll have to reapply when you’re ready to come to Canada."
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/coronavirus-covid19/immigration-applicants.html#expired

Can anyone suggest what does reapply mean here and how do I go ahead with it?

Thanks in advance!

we are planning to have the parents come soon to avoid renewing paperwork.
Any advise on the landing interview and required paperwork?
All i told them so far is to bring COPR, passport, as well as the quarantine plan

Hi @Chikki24

I've seen your timeline and just wanted to ask after PPR in May, they received COPR in June, based on your updates. The COPR (visa) that they're issuing now, does it have validity? Is it longer validity? If you don't mind me asking does it show 2 months expiry date or shorter to land in Canada before it expires?

Btw, congratulations that you're finally reuniting with your family. :)

Hi there,

My parents application status changed to "Decision Made", any idea how much time approximately will take to receive the Passport request from IRCC?

Also, usually this request received in email or via mail?

Kindly share your experience/thoughts - much appreciated!

Thank you so much!

Hi, all
Our application is finally moving..Today, got an online message asking us to redo the medical also provide some additional information....
"> Schedule A: A separate and newly completed Schedule A Background Declaration form (IMM 5669) bearing an original signature, personal history from Oct71 to Jun07 is missing, please complete. This must be received at this office by: 2021/08/26 "

I am a bit confused , as on IMM5669, it only ask for personal history for since age of 18 or the past 10 years (which we did), whichever is most recent...and now it looks like we have to provide since age of 18? Also, do we need to completley redo the whole IMM5669 form or just the section under "Personal History" for the missing years?
Thanks.

Hi
I am October 2018 Applicant.
My ECAS status changed from "IN PROCESS" to "APPLICATION RECEIVED". What does this mean?? is it going back or it is some kind of mistake??
It is almost 35 months no update since this.
Can anyone have the same experience??
