Did anybody added 2013 income on the financial form?

When I applied for my PR, during the process I added my spouse to the application in 2012 who was already in Canada at the time on a study permit. We both received our PR in 2014. Now question is would she be considered as sponsored spouse because I added her to my PR application ?

I came here on a student permit as well and got PR via Experience class.

My understanding is that only person eligible to sponsor someone has to be PR or Canadian citizen. so in my case when I added her to the application I was not a PR at the time hence she cannot be considered as a sponsor plus I do not recall signing any sponsorship documents.

Please clarify seniors, your help will be highly appreciated.

You did not sponsor your spouse, she was included as a dependent in your own PR application. So there is no undertaking involved.

Sponsor forms clearly requests status as PR or Canadian Citizen. And person is not eligible to sponser unless he or she has permanent status in canada and i didn't at the time

You are incorrect. Sponsorship is a very specific case, not applicable to economic immigration classes. The dependant was NOT sponsored.

Hello,

I have a few questions would like your guidance please.

1- my husband is my co-signer. On his citizenship card only has the year he became Canadian citizen, not day and month. How do I fill out this information?

2- My husband full name has 4 words and his first name actually has bad meaning in English "Hung" so an officer at that time told him avoid it. His name in citizenship card is "A B C Hung". His name in recent passport has only 3 words "A B C". When I fill out his information and answered "yes" to question "did you have different name at the time you become PR?" And I filled out as in citizenship card. The form show error and wouldnt proceed for bar codes. So does that mean he doesnt have different names? Thanks.

3- also, the new age for depend child will be increased to 22 yo on October this year I believe. My brother is 20yo this year. but according to the current age limit my brother would not be dependent child of my parents. And deadline to submit this application is in August. Should I attatch my brother's file as a dependent child just in case? Thanks everyone!

Q.no7 if PR provide date in which you obtain this status? Ans : The date you landed in Canada. Check the stamp in your passport or on your COPR.

Q-5 in past 5 years preceding this application , did u become permanent resident after being sponsored as spouse?
Ans: Check your landing date in Apr 2012 or may be before as you got your PR card later in Apr 2012. That is the day you became PR. Now its already May 2017,means you completed 5 years already. Your answer should be NO.

my situation is:
my husband sponsor me in 2012 I came in april,2012 , my pr card expire date this june,2017 (applied new one , hopefully get by end june,2017)

application submission in july 2017 so am cross 5 years then my question is should I click no

but other side if just calculate from 2017 back towards 5 years (2012-2017=5 years)


am confused should I say yes or no

Hi Baham, You never sponsored your spouse. Both of you got PR in single application. You as main applicant and She as dependent. So you never had to sign any sponsorship agreement. But you would still have to count her under family member for calculating total person for income. You can add her income as CO-applicant if she is working.

It is fine Deep1. You are sponsoring your parents so you are the one who is signing the agreement and filling up the form IMM1344. So it will show your name on the top left corner of page. That's OK.

I read in some post the relation is child , instead of parents.

Please double check
