Hi All - Is there anyone who has managed to get G2/G road test immediately after G1, based on their previous Indian driving license which is printed on paper, instead of a smart card? There are some states in India (at least West Bengal from where I came) where no RTOs are giving smart cards since the year 2021. I my case, in Ontario, the Drive Test center said although my DL Extract from India is valid but they cannot accept the license printed on paper - a plastic card is must. This seems to be an issue in getting a road test scheduled after clearing G1, even though you may have decades of driving experience. Please share your personal experience if you managed to get G2/G test Drive Test using a paper based license form India.

Hi, I also have the same paper based license. Were you able to find any solution and give g2 test immediately after g1?
No, unfortunately no one will allow paper licenses. You have to first get the plastic card from your home country. There is no other way.
