We know they promised 1 year. However, the application staying in Mississauga means that no progress is being made. A friend of mine sent his app 13 days before me and they got PPR from Cairo VO while I am still in Mississauga.! Joke it is!

my application in Cairo vo since 25 Nov they ask for my passport ,2 pictures , my tall , eye color , and exit stamp from saudi arabia +any proof that my wife will travel with me i sent all of that 18 may till now no news i sent an email they replay under security clearance !!!!!!

I'm in a similar situation, file received on April 13th, SA on May 11th, uploaded the requested docs by May 22nd and nothing since. Status on ECAS is still "Application Received". VO should be London but app still seems to be stuck in Mississauga. I called them ~3 weeks ago and they everything is attached and asked me to just wait.

I am in a similar situation too. App. recieved back in April 18, 2017. SA on around May 19, 2017 and Schedule A request around May 24, 2017. PCC was submitted up front. So far ECAS still shows application received, no medical requested and no email to say the file is transferred to the VO. I do not know whats causing the delay and should they be sending in the medical before they transfer to VO or not ?

Surfing the Jan-Feb-March-April threads, it became clear that there are many applicants whose applications did not get transferred to the respective VO after reception of Schedule A and PCC.

Looks like this occurrence is random. No trend in VO. No trend in nationality. No trend in application time. No certain patch of applicants got stuck. It is a random occurrence.

Let us talk here trying to figure out:
- Are there many of us?
- Can we understand a trend?
- Is there a cause?
- Can we do anything?
- Do the applications eventually move? when?


My story:
- Application rec'd March 2
- AOR1 March 18
- SA April 20
- PCC, SCH A request April 20
- no news since.
- called June 10, agent told me they got the schA, PCC and the app is in Mississauga.

I have applied on 22nd March 2017 and SA on 21st April and re-medical and Schedule A. On 27th April I have submitted Medical and Schedule A. on 25th May 2017, they requested Supplementary Travelling information form and now still no reply. On ECAS it says Application Received. and I think my file is also at Mississauga CPC.

Yes, we got medical request and now it shows passed in gckey. Called them on Thursday and was told that the application is still at CPC-M and all the documents seem in order and I just have to wait.

I'm in this exact situation.

PA is American

Application delivered Jan 30 with PCC, upfront medical.
Feb 28 - AOR1
Mar 02 - SA letter specifically indicating the file was being transferred to Ottawa
Mar 10 - Schedule A submitted through MyCIC
Apr 27 - Emailed Ottawa VO, they indicated that the file was still at CPC-M
Jun 06 - Called the CIC hotline, asked about file - agent said they had everything and there was nothing I needed to/could do

ECAS has been at "Application Received" the entire time. Only a line indicating they sent me the Schedule A request. No line regarding medicals, no line indicating they started the application. MyCIC is similar - no indication the background check has started.

I've considered calling the hotline again, but I don't know if it would do any good.

I've also gotten the medical request, and it shows as passed. No need to worry about the medical request, they don't always wait for it before transferring the file.

What do you mean by "acknowledged"? I didn't get any notification about it after uploading it through MyCIC.

after SA never got SchA request/correspondence.
Finally submitted docs without request 30.06.17. Got confirmation that docs received 06.07.17

If the apps weren't transferred to the VO after SA, they most likely won't be. Mississauga has kept outland apps in the past when VOs were overloaded. If I recall correctly, Mississauga averaged around 4 months.

Hi, sorry what do you mean that they most likely won't be sent to the VO...? In that case, does CPC-M actually make final decisions also?
