the point is there something going on with OPNP applications n no one have clear answer why only OPNP ... not even opportunities ontario...
yes something is cooking. however opportunities ontario will play ignorant but they will know everything. it is a 2 stage process and one jurisdiction cannot be kept in the dark. it is not 2 countries. Here both are working for the same government ultimately. it will never work that way. opportunities ontario is just keeping quiet.

I agree with you ... opportunities ontario is just keeping quiet n collecting money ..checked their FB page n they r replying on queries related to pnp program but not replying to any of the question related to our situation..

Then we should probably let more prospective applicants aware of the situations.

I think PNP already knows that their reputation got hurt. Maybe that's why they are speeding up the application time, without requiring strange documents (credit statement, support letter from parents, ties to Ontario....) , and (in order to keep) continuing to collect application fees now ......

When you get nominated by the province in which you submitted your application, they will send you the support letter. However, when I applied for BOWP via myCIC, support letter was not one of the necessary documents. I guess one should upload it as optional documents (I forgot to do so, and they never asked for it!).

Anyway, it seems that CIC is not processing Ontario applications (BOWP or PR) at this moment, and no-one knows why Ontario applications are on-hold.

I applied one month before the expiry of my work permit; it was after I received my AOR (you should apply for BOWP after AOR). However, it is better to apply before the expiry of your work permit; taking into account the application processing time, one month prior to its expiry should be fine, even though, if you received your nomination letter and AOR earlier, it is wiser to apply at once. As long as your WP application is in process, you have "implied status", and can stay and work under your original conditions.

After the expiry of your work permit, you can still apply for a renewal in the first 90 days after the expiry of your WP; so you can still stay in Canada during that period but you can't work(this applies to all WP holders).

Hello All,

Keeping this "OPNP is on hold" in my mind and the following reasons, I would like to withdraw my PR application.

I have got the Ontario PNP on July 20 2014 and I have applied for PR on July 22 2104(The date when my package was received by CIO). As of now I didn't get any AOR. I know that the applicants who applied for PR before me in June 1st week also didn't receive their AOR's yet.

Coming to my exact situation, I got a fulltime job offer from the different province. This is a very good opportunity and I really don't want to miss this. I am in dilemma to stay here in Ontario waiting for PR and JOB or to accept the fulltime offer from other province.

Can any one help me how to withdraw my application ? I know that I have to wait until I get file number(AOR acknowledgement) to write a letter regarding my withdrawal. Sad

I don't want to miss the fulltime opportunity. As per the rule I should not work fulltime in another province until I get PR. So, I myself want to withdraw my application voluntarily without cheating on them like silently moving to another province without withdrawing the application.

I have contacted CIC call centre and they have just advised to send an email to Nova Scotia regarding the situation.

Thanks in Advance.
