Hello All,

When I applied for OINP nomination, I have mentioned my work experience from 2 companies separately. These 2 companies were merged but I went ahead and got separate reference letters.

I got nominated and about to apply for PR.

Now due to restructuring inside the company, I thought of getting an updated reference letter. But my HR said they can give only 1 reference letter for both companies as they are merged now and they can't give anything with old company letter head.

Will this be a problem during my PR application? Please note that I am not changing the roles and responsibilities (same NOC's as it in the previous 2 reference letters).

Thanks!

As long as they do list all of your positions and state the merge, that should be fine.

Book your appointment (Call them and book )with nearest medical center .... list of centers check this link http://www.cic.gc.ca/pp-md/pp-list.aspx..

take your Express Entry letter(print out) along with you and tell them you are doing upfront meds (Express Entry Profile on which you got nomination as they will tag ur medical report against that express entry profile number..).. no IME number/no other forms required..

Take these docs with you
1. Express Entry Letter
2. passport biometric pages copies -2,
3. photographs (even INDIAN PP Size would work) - 2,
4. any medical history then take all your medical reports
5. Pen :)

Your test will be over same day.. 1-2 hrs max..again depends on rush.. at the end of all tests, you will get ur Acknowledgement Receipt from Medical Center.. & that is your proof for medical done...make sure you scan it in color while uploading it for PR application..

About PCC, GET your PCC from PSK (Passport Seva Kendra) ONLY.. (apply for PCC on Passport Website) no need to go to local police station..again scan PCC in color only
Hey Buddy,

Can you also let me know if PR Card can be collected by my elder brother? Or do I have to be physically present in the country?
Most welcome!!

One more point with respect to PCC.. if you have ever lived in any country for equal or more than 6 months (cumulative) in last 10 years, then you will also need pcc from that country..

for e.g. if you stayed there in country X for 2 months in 2014, 1 month in 2016 & 3 months in 2017.. you will need pcc..

so if such case is with you then apply for pcc for that country.. some countries (check forum which are those countries) wont issue pcc unless you have such letter from CIC.. so in that case, mention that in LoE while filing for PR application
Hey Buddy,

I haven't lived in any country apart from India but the additional information provided by you is indeed very useful for newbie like me, thanks.

Hi Bill,

1. Where do you get this data from ? How can we know which NOC code has higher or lower probability to receive NOI from Ontario? Can you please share link - it will be a big help. I am NOC 0601, and with latest IELTS results (yet to update - waiting for TRF), my CRS would be 400. My wife also has NOC 0601 (confused if i should take 6221 for her - as that's the longest held profile for her - 8 years, while 0601 is 2.5 years).

2. Also, on some later threads, someone posted to have received a mail from Ontario nomination office that HCP quota for this year is full / over. But, i could not come across any such "quota" based segregation of the 6000 nominations that Ontario intends to do this year. Their website states 4006 nominations issued against 6000 till Aug.8 this year - and no further information available.

Anybody who could reply on this - I would really be thankful.
1. There are no specific links however this data was derived from extensive research conducted from the data obtained from OINP and Opendata (official website of Canadian Government). This data and estimates proved correct and accurate at the time it was written. It has now changed and I have not updated it due to time constraints.

2. A quota for OINP is 9000 from which 6000 is for Online Streams including Express Entry. The quota for this year is still remaining, however, OINP indicated that they have ceased to take any further registrations until reopened.

I hope this will help.

Hi Bill,

@BillHyatt

My NOC is 2173 and I submitted my application on 22nd July. however, still I am in DIP since 10th Aug. no ADR. Any suggestion on this?
OINP is facing backlog and applications are still in DIP even after 60 days. Their human resource is not enough to deal with a large number of applications and therefore, some candidates may face delays. I would suggest believing the normal time to be 60-90 days instead of 30-60 days.

This list is no more applicable now however proved accurate at the time it was written. This list only included most significant NOC and therefore, it was not a comprehensive list.

I hope this will clear.

Thanks Bro.

Can I mention this in my LOE stating that since the 2 companies are merged now, I got a single reference letter rather than the 2 reference letters I used for OID nomination?
