I got a copy of the encashed check - is it ok to check status before receiving AOR? Any issues in using CAS and the B>>>> number before formally getting the receipt?

Hi Manny,
There is nothing wrong in checking your ecas it will only show your application status as 'in process'.usually they update ecas on tuesday.

Hi,

I added my newborn daughter today with my application, and just realized that the photographer made a mistake by taking a picture of different size instead of the suggested one.

Does anyone know if an application can be sent back because of this or they would consider it.

I'm in some level of trouble here - As my full name is in the Given name line in my passport, I couldn't fill anything in the Last name space in the CIC application. And Last name from the Application is a required one in CAS!! ???

Unfortunately I do not know. I had to leave the country right after I sent in my application. During my packing and moving, I misplaced the copy of my money order.

Please advice how we have to submit the application fee of 550. As here in one of the post some one has mentioned that his/her file returned back from CIC and mentioned reason as "processing fee must be paid in Canadian Dollars"

Please mention clearly as I am US based and I have to submit my initial application to CIC.

Hey you make it sound as though folks on this forum are the originators of this information!

A note to all: please make sure you read the corresponding requirements from CIC webpage and the local CIC office web page for latest information before submitting your application. Many of us who respond to questions are replying from memory and based on the "then" situation. Requirements will change and the onus is on you to find the current info !
