This may be silly question but can you share how you can check status.
I have applied to CIC Jun 25 and check has not been encashed as of now.

I checked my file. It says "We started processing your application on July 22, 2010.". I haven't reveived AOR or Medical request yet. Can someone please tell me how long does it take to get AOR or medical request after see this notice when you check online?

I got a mail from CIC. I am not sure is it medical request or just AOR..
do we get two separate mails -- one for (AOR) and medicals or just one mail..

I am confused.. i dint see the mail yet..

I have sent documents to CIC on april 20th. I haven't got my file # from CIC so how long it takes to get one also is there a way to check status without file # being issued. ?

Mine said July 9th, I got my medicals on the 19th

You do need file number for status check.

I believe you have to wait until your check get chased. then go to the bank branch and aske a copy of it. You will find the file number on the copy of check. Good Luck.

Hey Stupid_Cupid hold your horses: Kanchha clearly says she/he hasn't received either.

If you have a copy of the check (from your bank after it was cashed) that you submitted to CIC you'd have a B**** file number - Kanchha used that to check eCAS. You will typically get both AOR and Med request together, as most of us have.

HI All,
I sent my application to Buffalo in November 2009.
Recived My AOR and Medical 's on March 6th.
Medical done and reached Ottawa on Apr 6th.
I din't hear anything after that no update in the my status - Just Says "In Process"
and started the process in March 3rd.

Please suggest me whether I need to wait more time or Do I have to Contact CIC?
If I need to contact how can I contact?

Why can't you understand the content

Medical request is a request to go and get u r medicals done and its a form in english not french

AOR - acknowledgement of receipt for your application fee. that also a receipt similar to what u get from burger king

mail sent my friends house..i just know that i got a mail from CIC..

If he got a mail it would be AOR & medical, i would suggest confirming with u r friend
