Mine says


1. We received ....... application for permanent residence on December 10, 2014.
2. We started processing ...... application on March 31, 2015.

I sent the medicals with the application, but there is no line that they recieved the meds. What can you tell me about my situation Eagle.

Did the doctor told you something about your medical? I know doctors are not supposed to tell you the results, however he/she could told you if everything is good. You might have to redo few tests in case they want to take a DM in due period. If you order your GCMS and if medical says: In progress or Furthered, it means there is a problem with your medical and CIC has not fully accepted it. The choice is yours to order your file or leave it. I like your processing timeline though. you are right in the middle of background checks or at the end of it. Patience pays, so relax

Good, if you have a scanner at your place. Scan your PR Card both side or your citizenship Certificate both side and save it on your laptop/computer also print use of representative form fill it and sign it then scan it as you did with your PRC/Citizenship C. then you need to go online GCMS and fill the forms then pay with your credit card that's it that's all.

Anyone I recommended to order their GCMS, anytime your GCMS email says this:

"The processing of your request is now complete and I am pleased to enclose the documents requested.
Certain information qualifies for exemption pursuant to section 15(1) International affairs and defence of the Access to Information Act."


This means that your background checks are going on. Please let me know if you see this.

Hi Eagle333. I appreciate your response on my first question about background checks. Thank you.
I have another question for you if you don't mind. If my husband's visa is issued one month before the medical expires, is it possible for my hubby to request for an extension? He needs to give one month notice for his resignation at work. He can't just resign and fly to Canada right away. The reason why I'm asking is because I am planning to go back to the Philippines for a visit on Nov28-Dec28. My husband's medical will expire on Nov 25th. I am worried that he gets his visa anytime soon that is only valid until Nov 25. I don't want him to be by himself here in Canada while I am away on vacation. please let me know if you have any advice of what is the best thing to do (other than advicing me to not go anywhere while waiting for my husband's visa ;D ). Thanks.

How come when I ordered mine online, I did not pay anything? Is it possible that I ordered the wrong one?

You should select the Access to information act and pay $5

The documents they have asked you to attach is consent form of the applicant i.e sponsored person

On the above url,

1) Choose Apply Online and 2) Click on Apply online again
3) Select English and you will be redirected to a page where it has faqs.
4) At the end of the page,
5) Click next
6) Check the box I have read, understood and agree with the above Privacy
7) Notice and Click Continue
Cool Select Citizenship and Immigration Canada option under *Please select the Department where you would like to submit an Access to Information or Privacy request dropdown
Your relative will need to fill out the information as asked on that page. Click Continue
9) Select Access to Information under *What type of information are you requesting? dropdown
Select Case files under *Which type of records do you wish to request? dropdown
10) You will need to fill out your information. Select Notes in Electronic File under *What type of information would you like to request?
Under File Type, Select Immigration file : Permanent Residence. Click Continue
11) You will need to fill out a consent form. This form is available at http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5744E.pdf , Print the form and fill out the information. you and spouse must sign mandatory if you are married. Also make sure you include your relatives information. Once signed and filled out. Scan and Attach the copy. Click Continue
12) You will get to the screen where you need to validate the information you provided
Check the box I certify that the information provided is true and wish to submit this request. and Click Continue. You will leave the government web site and will be redirected to a secure and trusted third party web site (E-xact Transactions Ltd.) where your payment will be processed. Your name, credit card number, credit card expiry date, credit card security code (CVV2) will be collected in order to process your payment. after you submit your request, an acknowledgement e-mail, along with a copy of your payment receipt, will be sent directly to the e-mail address provided .


Following the above steps you will get an acknowledgemt e mail from the atip department and temporary tracking no for gcms notes would be provided

what are your thoughts on my application?

Looking at your eligibility status it's says "recommended passed" which means first vo officer has cleared your eligibility
Now the file will be reviewed by 2nd officer he will re check the eligibility criteria and Mark it as eligibility : passed and interview waived

they complete the medial process first and then they go for background checks like security , criminality and rfv
