Try to order your GCMS and I see what is going on. I am my brother representative for his wife. I ordered her GCMS once now and everything seem to be straight forward. We don't want to contact a MP to me it is a west of time because GCMS give a clear message. So relax and wait for the letter. I wish you all the best.

Thank goodness I got ppr today. I also thought they were going to reject.

Hi Eagle333. I appreciate your response on my first question about background checks. Thank you.
I have another question for you if you don't mind. If my husband's visa is issued one month before the medical expires, is it possible for my hubby to request for an extension? He needs to give one month notice for his resignation at work. He can't just resign and fly to Canada right away. The reason why I'm asking is because I am planning to go back to the Philippines for a visit on Nov28-Dec28. My husband's medical will expire on Nov 25th. I am worried that he gets his visa anytime soon that is only valid until Nov 25. I don't want him to be by himself here in Canada while I am away on vacation. please let me know if you have any advice of what is the best thing to do (other than advicing me to not go anywhere while waiting for my husband's visa ;D ). Thanks.

Don't worry too much about medical and expiration. When permanent residence visa is issued it comes with full of information when that visa will expire. The least they can give him is 3 months some they get 6 months it all depends which date he has to land in Canada once that visa is issued. I saw a friend of mine his 3 girls git 1 year visa to land in Canada. So things different and we cannot understand what these people do.

How come when I ordered mine online, I did not pay anything? Is it possible that I ordered the wrong one?

Yes you ordered the wrong one. Select acess to information. Since you are requesting these notes for someone you need to pay $5.

Hi there. .
Thanks eagle333 for making this thread with the explanation.

I'm currently showing the 3 lines on ecas 1. Application received 2. We starting processing your application August 17, 3.medicals received ... Since the beginning I've shown on ecas the 1st and 3rd line.. Last month I received aor from the vo and yesterday was requested to pay RPRF nothing else. So I don't know where I am at this point .. RPRF means a good sign or they just ask for that but doesn't really mean anything.. They could still request for other informations? Or interview? My question is if they needed other update in my app wouldn't they requested together with the RPRF?

Dear Eagle333, thanks for your kind devotion to help lots of worried souls here including me.my question is I applied in march for pr under refugee and it reads,
March 2 we received your application
May 15 in process. Do you think am almost there or got alot of months ahead to wait.
Another question does background check include like if I had loans from certain country that I ve not paid will they affect me or its just security wise?
Please enlighten me on this.
Thank you and bless your kind soul. Good luck to us all guys.

Good, if you have a scanner at your place. Scan your PR Card both side or your citizenship Certificate both side and save it on your laptop/computer also print use of representative form fill it and sign it then scan it as you did with your PRC/Citizenship C. then you need to go online GCMS and fill the forms then pay with your credit card that's it that's all.

You do not need to upload the sponsor's PR card or citizenship certificate, The document that needs to be uploaded is a consent form filled in by the principal applicant which grants permission for CIC to provide the sponsor with the notes for the PA's application. The consent form is IMM 5744E and can be found here

So far so good. RPRF is a good sign my dear at this point. Interview has been waived at this stage. If your order your GCMS right now you will see two things. First, Eligibility Review is completed. Second, on some pages of your GCMS you will see lot of S.15 (1) which is a sign background Check is on or if you don't see it your background checks are over. You are nearing to your file's completion. Congrats! Can you put your 3 magic lines for other to see? If there was any additional documents they would have asked together with the RPRF.

If the principal applicant is in Canada then you can order the notes via the Privact Act which does not incur a fee. From the webpage:

Personal information is usually requested under the Privacy Act.

There are no fees charged for request made under the Privacy Act.

The purpose of the Privacy Act is to protect the privacy of individuals with respect to personal information about themselves where it is held by a government institution and to provide individuals with the right to access such information.

Note: Personal information which belongs to an individual who is not a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident of Canada or currently living in Canada must be requested under the Access to Information Act.
