They say around 3 months form the time that your file is received at the visa office but really you can order them anytime you want

Got an email today requesting me to pay Right of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF) which I had already paid upfront. Then I got an email saying it was an error and that I should ignore it as they've determined that the fee has been paid already.

Are these the signs of my application being at the last stages? Any senior member who can let me know approximately how much time would it take now to get the DM?

Requesting payment means you are almost at the finish line. If they requested it's a good sign. Kinda of confused though as to why they didn't check it was paid for at the beginning.

It's an OUTLAND application from Oct 2015. Got SA and AOR in Dec 2015.

I have a little enquiry.

I just got my PR and I was wondering how long I have to wait before I can sponsor my family under family class sponsorship. I applied for PR via EE, and I had to stage that my family won't be accompanying me at the moment but will join me later so as to improve my CRS.

Also, on average, how long does the application process take?

This is not about Old vs New, but I have a few questions that I think you might help me with.
I am the PA, Outland family sponsorship, applied in Dec. 2015 and my file is in process. I have done my medicals and police clearance in June 2015 in Romania and came to Canada in July on my TRV. I only sent the file in December. I'll be going back to Romania in June, and wanted to know if, to avoid any further delays, I should redo my police clearance and medicals and send it to the Bucharest VO? I also have to renew my passport due to expiration date, so should I let them know about that as well?

Hello All,

I just had a question about Background Checks. My Spouse Visa application is being processed in Abu Dhabi. My wife is in Canada.

I have not been able to apply for my GCMS Notes so I'm not sure about my current status, except that the CIC Online status has reached to Medical Received on line 3.

I was born in 1983. I am from Pakistan but I was born and raised in Dubai. Starting 2007, I started facing employment issues due to the recession in those years. So from 2007 end to 2009 end, I had to make visits to my country which is Pakistan and apply for 3 Month Visit Visas to come back to Dubai every time, since I was not able to secure an employment visa for myself in that duration. Yes, it was that difficult and took that long. Each time I visited, I spent not more than 2 weeks to a month tops in Pakistan. I couldn't stay in Pakistan because my entire family was and still is in Dubai.

I believe you all know where this is heading. During my Background Checks, would this reason of my visits back and forth t Pakistan and Dubai between 2007 to 2009, have any impact of my situation or process times?

Hope you will good i read your forum since 7 months and i was quite happy to find this helpfull forum as you said that after sending additional documents regarding eligbility maximum time is 3 month for decision. Eagle i did send documents on 24 dec 15 and yet i did not contacted.my question is that is they clear eligbility and check backgroud or what you say where is my application now.Thanks

I would say wait until CIC contacts you, they might extend your medical then your application will be ready for final decision selection.

hey Eagle333, do they really extend medicals? & by how many months to expiry? all i've seen for LVO outland applicants can/pak is that they just go ahead & request remeds a month or 2 before the expiry.
i know it takes time if they ask for addt'nl docs or remeds so im so wanting to avoid em. *fingers crossed*

also are the remeds usually requested before any DM is passed down???? can they request remeds after DM too?
(im still a long way from my meds expiry i.e. end of aug, so wondering)

nothing worse that knowing ur so close to bein done (DM in my case, for now) & then the remeds & other things pop in
awaiting an ans.

i just ordered em! "in process" for 3 mo now. i hope i get to see some progress!
