I agree. However, there is a possibility that IRCC might want to shift this influx of out-land applicants from Ontario to the Atlantic provinces (by making access to the Atlantic provinces comparatively easier while restricting/tightening the requirements for OINP, so that OINP picks a majority from those who are either already in Ontario or already have strong ties, relatives, etc). But again, these are all just speculative thoughts.

OMG that makes sense.

If OINP puts new criteria such as connections to Ontario, relatives, job offer etc, do you guys think it will be still fair to call it "Human Capital Priorities Stream"? They can give it any other name, but wish OINP just don't call it "Human Capital Priorities". Already the FSW outland candidates have been disadvantaged big time by all the recent changes. FSWs, once the biggest stream, may now only qualify for an ITA if they have exceptionally high scores (very rare) or go through PNPs in which case they cease to be FSWs. OINP Human Capital is the last resort for many of these candidates. What's the pint in having FSW outlands if new criteria like the above keeps coming? It seems Canada doesn't need people who do not have Canadian education, experience, relatives etc.

True, true. So if they want to change OINP, they would have to make some alternative program like mentioned in the post above.

If you are frustrated for the waiting time of receiving Ontario PT, expect more waiting time in every step of the process.
For me, i waited 7 months just to receive AOR for the submiited application. Profile expiring in a few days. Many of us are waiting like this.
You may want to look for other options. Otherwise, stretch your patience.

Thats true. ONIP is taking nearly a year now to give the nomination!

Got a insider tip that the minimum points for OINP nomination will be atleast 500 CRS.

500 no, someone told me around 600.

I expect minimum points for OINP nomination will be reduced to CRS 350 for 2017

I hope they reduce it to 350, so that more people can avail the option. Nonetheless, OINP folks seriously need to improve the process and reduce the cycle time.

it wont fall to 350 trust me, it wont be 500 either...

we can only speculate, they might change their criteria itself to send PT... who knows

Where do you come up with this nonsense??

I dont think they will change it. They are just going to make it an online system this will reduce the timeframe. And the one thing they can do is to increase the fees to $2000-3000 this will make lot of people decline the PT. And extra money will help in making processing more faster.

They may completely change it, or it may stay the same. With all the other PNP formats out there, there's no way to guess what the program may look like until they announce it. Either way, I think we'll know for sure very soon!

Irony... a lot of people saying nonsense. They may change it to 450, maybe keep 400, no one know. But for sure not 500..

I dont think they will change to 450. As lots of people will wait for direct ITA with the score of 450+ Because of long processing times and high fees.

Most likely they will put their cut off CRS score somewhere 50 points below direct ITA. At the moment we are yet to see how will the current changes change the CRS direct cut off score. Other thing is that is is not probable for them to re open main streams this year. They have still rather huge backlog of candidates. MY estimation is like February or March next year.
