That's not what I heard. If the CRS score changes for any reason (age, IELTS, etc) they will check if the new CRS score meets the cutoff for the nomination draw. If it falls below the lowest cutoff, application won't be considered. I l am not sure what happens if this is the scenario post getting nomination.

This is the case only if you are anywhere near the cut off score, which in his case is not even the point of discussion. The moment he gets his nomination he gets 600 after that even if he reduces by 5 points cuz of age it will be 1030 which will get easily picked for ITA.

I am not talking about ITA, I am talking about his nomination itself. I have read that if the points go below the nomination cutoff before a decision is made, the nomination is cancelled. I don't know whether this holds true while a nomination decision is in progress or is it just when the application is due to be submitted or in assessment stage.

Have you read the criteria for getting a nomination from Ontario?? Minimum requirements state you need to have 400 CRS points along with other requirements. Nowhere it is mentioned you will be rejected if not met the draw cut off. I have friends who have had their points cut by a point or 20 points and still got nominated.

I have, I got an invitation in the tech draw. Anyway, just mentioned what I read on this forum (link in my previous post). I was in the same boat as the OP, as I lost 5 points after the draw and had to double check my eligibility (points dropped to 447 while the lowest cutoff was in the 430s). Anyway, maybe the criteria for this draw is different.

Found one more post mentioning the points thing. Different scenario but relevant for explaining the cutoff thing.
