CEC Inland applicants are getting priority.

My question is for FSW applicants.

If OINP is not going to work on December/January, then Jan FSW applications will have their files moving only in February.
CEC candidates(Jan till march) might be completed by November this year, as we already see Jan CECs are getting nominated.

Ontario has stated, that there is no priority list and they treat you application as it comes. However, if your programm is already full for this year, then those from other programms can get nominated before you.
So if there were less CEC candidates, they are already on those from January, while Human priority ones might be waiting longer.
Another thing is, that if your file is more complicated, then you will get nominated later.

Did OINP confirm that they won't work dec/jan this year? As they hired new staff and are rushing to get things done (supposedly) I wish they work normally on those months.

correct.

they will work for sure as they hired temp workers for 6 months contracts starting September.

Isn't OINP due to reopen to new applications in November 2016?
Surely they'll have to have completed those in progress first......

they are due to announce the new regulations in Nov; no word about when they're reopening

True they may not reopen, although OINP posted this on their website in May 2016:
"Ontario anticipates that it will receive its 2017 nomination allocation from the federal government before the end of November 2016, and the province expects to be in a position to accept applications for some streams in six months."

six months would be Nov 2016.....

I think you might be right... hopefully by next month they'll have finished all the normal NOV applications and those officers will focus on Jan applications.

Exactly... I think they still have a big backlog to process before reopening... I think We'll start to see Feb NoMs before they reopen the nomination process...
