Dear g126,

Many thanks for your detailed explanation. I am glad that is the case, mostly because I won't have to bother with getting a Letter of Recommendation in case I switch jobs after the nomination.

Cheers!
Remember that after the NoM you'll get an ITA and you'll need to resubmit a lot of the stuff you've already submitted to OINP, including the reference letters, so if you switch jobs you'll probably need to get a reference letter from your new job for IRCC.

He will only need that if he wants to claim points for the new job. All he might need is some statement when he finished work at his old employer (combined with reference letter should be acceptable).
If he keeps new job in personal history only, then he does not need to have reference letter from there.

Thanks a lot for clarification.
However I still see the problem of the wording in the stated above.

What is stated in the link you have sent is that the age extemption is stated for time between PT and sent out of application (AOR).

Now the Ontario requirement is following:
To maintain 400 points until you get ITA and submit your application.

For ITA purposes your age will be fixed only at the day when you get ITA which is only after PNP is done.

Also technicaly from the moment of PNP you will be granted additional 600 points which will lead to the score of 1000 +

Now what is not clear is if Ontario wants to see 400+ basic points or total points
What will happen with the period between AOR and PNP

I would certainly ask, as this clause alone gives plenty space of interpretation.
I am already in the same status.. my points have dropped to <400 and this is what they sent to me. and my file is being processed.

Again, if in doubt, call them.

Technically speaking you're correct I think IRCC will find it strange if an applicant claims to be employed and does not provide a reference letter, even if he's only been employed for a few months. At the very least they will ask for playslips and other proofs they see fit, which will prolong the BGC process... So best just to provide a reference letter and be done with it IMO...

For work at one employer that is shorter than 1 year outside Canada and 6 months inside, he cannot claim any points. the best adviced practice is not to mention such employments in your EE.
Those reference letters are only asked as proof for points, which will not be case here (most likely).

I hope OINP starts issuing nominations to January applicants soon.

Has any Jan applicant got any additional request so far?

Please update.

Today after trying 20 times I got hold on operator and got same standard reply that 3-4 months time after AOR for nomination.

She received her nomination early last week.
No her Visa/Permit wasn't expiring within 90 days but she has been emailing and visiting the Toronto office frequently to get an update on her application and has always received standard reply.

I understand IRCC are quite thorough with their Background Checks, so if you say you're currently employed by XYZ and have been for the last 3 months I think they'll want some sort of evidence, like your offering letter and payslips. It's not for the points, but just to make sure there are no gaps in your personal history. Anyway, like I said you may be right and be able to get away without providing any evidence, but I wouldn't risk it as I figure that if you provide them with all the information they wont ask you for more and you process will be faster...

CEC Inland applicants are getting priority.

My question is for FSW applicants.
