Let's wait for their next move.. looks like Ontario is opting the wait and watch principle.. they are waiting for the next federal draw and then issue noi.. that is bad for many of us since the cut off will be around 448 and Ontario would invite 440 to 447 which is really ridiculous..I’m at 438
You meant the 457 federal draw that took place today? Yeah! But let’s wait a couple of weeks and see how the next two draws will come!

I'm asking on behalf of a friend who just created his express entry profile, CRS score 416 , has experience in Noc codes 0131 and 0213. Any chance for him to receive an OINP invite? He's also working on his spouse ECA, and is attending a college program currently in ontario so will likely increase his points in a few months to the 43x range.

True.. if ontario issues noi this week, it would be for folks just below 457.. so curtains for ppl stuck at scores 435-438.. but if there is a back to back draw next week, scores might come down.. but still 438 is touch and go, since cut off would still be around 445 as the number of invites reduced to 3350..
If he is already working in Ontario , chances are high as Ontario might start targeting job offer HCP anytime soon.. but for general HCP, even ppl with 438 have not received so far..
Thanks, he isn't working yet but will finish his college program in Ontario soon and will then apply for an open work permit, search for employment etc.
Wow even 438 haven't received invites this year?! This is crazy, i know someone (an IT professional) who only scored around 390 and got selected via OINP HCP in the second half of 2018.
That must be in 2017 mate where ontario picked ICT NOC's with crs below 400.. in 2018, only ppl with job offer in Ontario were picked with scores above 350+..
Makes sense...should've said that person actually landed in the 2nd half of 2018 but yea most likely was "invited" for OINP in 2017 as you say
2017 was the glorious year for EE and will remain like that.. it will never ever happen again.. 413 was the lowest crs and also oinp invited ppl below 400.. now things have taken a u turn.. even 438 is not guaranteed..

I am not very helpful about this. Time for student route or masters as I don't think this stream is not going to open up anymore.
