What is PFL and what kind of PFL do we get ?

Well unfortunately after their update on the 2016 quota it seems that they are doing everything they can to clear the remaining candidates by rejection with PFLs... In the March thread we have 5 remaining all of whcih (I believe) are replying to PFLs... Since no one is maintaining this forum any more (OINP FEB 2016 where are you?) we have no visibility of how many remain

via DHL - should be delivered today - toronto custom already cleared.

So am hoping and praying for the best.

Also, I hope that this is not "a rejection" and that I have to start all over again... that'll be really hear breaking after waiting and hoping for a year now.

Well if you properly addressed all their concerns you should be fine... Since there are NoMs trickling then we can see that a positive PFL outcome should result in a NoM pretty soon.

FYI also french stream nominations are a trickle. Nothing to be mentioned since beginning of year.

I hope OINP resume regular frequency soon.

Well when they announced that the quota had ended for 2016 many people didn't know what that meant. I think we can now assume that nominations will only continue once they make their 2017 quota oficial, so hang on in there... it will probably be soon.

I've seen really quick noms and really slow noms post PFL. I think it depends on how simple their concern was and if you managed to successfully satisfy them. In a PFL your whole file is looked upon by another officer (with fresh eyes). So depends on the officer and the reason for the PFL I suppose.

I think it also depends on whether they have any NoMs around left to give... You may already be on the approved file but they are waiting for the 2017 quota to be made official and/or someone who was given a NoM but then chose not to use it (like got a direct ITA) then that NoM goes back into the 2016 pool.

My suggestion is to keep checking their update page to see when OINP HCP reopens... from that moment on try contacting them to find if they have made a decision on your PFL.
