My application was received on October 31st and no update on Ecas. I called CIC this morning and the agent said that there is nothing yet for me on the system.

I checked the November thread and noticed that some applicants who had their application received on November 12th, had their Ecas updated !!!

I just called CIC, no news for me, reportedly, they are opening applications received on the 25th of september...

I'm sure that there is something that we are not understanding, maybe the algorithm they have in their system gets updated onces 80% of the applications received on a certain date are getting processed ?
I'm trying to be rational here...

I have no idea how this is working. do you have a proof that your application was sent? what is the name of the person who received it?

My application was in French, maybe they have less personnel to take care of applications in french ?

My application was received by Mike Conn on October 24, 2013 and was in English and I hope they have enough people to review application in English. I just checked my online status and there is nothing there - They still have my PR card status there which was approved last year... Nothing about Citizenship application. I also want to let you know that I have a friend of mine whose PR card application was approved and he got the PR but still nothing on Ecas... this was like last month... I will still wait next Wednesday to call them.... I am thinking something should show up by next week?

My application was received by Mike Conn on October 24, 2013 and was in English and I hope they have enough people to review application in English. Thanks for the info Sept15, I have another application ready to be sent in case I don't hear of this one before the end of this month... I won't take any chances now that they are talking about changing the citizenship act. I just think that it is pathetic not to be able to trust the government with our documents, I hate the fact that I am wondering...we deserve proper information.

You bet. Do as you think is appropriate. What are your plans on the payment you have made. Can you STOP the previous payment you have made and submit a new one. My wife can apply for Citizenship on March 27 and my fingers are crossed that they do not change their Citizenship Act by then. My advise, may be I am repeating myself is - the Ecase is NOT reliable, so I would actually not reapply just based on the fact that Ecase shows nothing - perhaps make more phone calls, send some faxes, emails and take it from there.

In case i will send my application again, I will send it along with the precedent payment, if they didn't cash it the first time, they will the second....anyways, they will cash it whenever the application will start processing.

I am going to take your advise for the time being, but at some point, survival skills dictate that I think out of the box in order to get my application to where it should have gotten a few weeks ago - I would love to trust CIC,but there are slight chances that they either lost it, returned it ( and canada post lost it) or that it's somwhere under a pile ....
