Jan 2015? That has taken more time for you. Have you checked your OCI status online?

Not sure if this can help or not but I have following link which might be needed if you don't know the status even from BLS...

http://moia.gov.in/index.aspx (look at the "Help" section on the right side for contacting them)

Good Luck!

yeah..it took longer than normal processing time....last time when I applied for my mother it was dne well n time...but I dont understand why this delay in my case. !

BLS staff says its under process at consulate so they cannot do anything.

Are you submitting to HCI ottawa? If you submit to Toronto or Vancouver this timeline could likely change..

Good luck !
here is my timeline.
OCI submitted in BLS : 27 March
OCI acknowledgement date in HCI ottawa : 31 March
Original documents received : 01 April.

Documents Printing Status UNDER-PROCESS

After the above status, there are no updates so far.

I saw folks saying following day for dispatch date. However, there is no further update in our case.

Keep you posted.

Good Weekend!

Yes you can except agricultural land. But your parents(if they are Indian citizen) can buy and you can inherit.
You can do any job except some government jobs and holding political post.
You can stay in India as long as you want.
If for whatever reason you want to get Indian Citizenship back you can apply for it if you have lived in India on OCI status for certain years (not sure about exact number of years).

It is almost exactly like Canadian PR in Canada. Before anyone comment . I said ALMOST.
For more information Google and read on government's website .

In basic term...It is almost like Canadian PR in Canada=OCI in India without basic residency requirement...

Just wondering if anyone who's "Documents Printing Status" is after 21-APR-2015 and had their "Dispatched From MOIA (OCI )" date shown???

Ours "Dispatched From MOIA (OCI )" date is not updated yet and now I'm bit concerned as I saw for folks saying it would be the following next day after "Documents Printing Status" date.

Please let us know. Thanks!

Mine Dispatch date updated just one day after it was printed.

20th April it printed and 21 st april dispatched

now I am waiting for the Document to be received status to Toronto office .

Normally How many days it will take to reach Toronto office ?
