What is the average timeline for OCI application these days?

I submitted my Adult application at BLS on July 25th, 2025.

What documents needed to be uploaded along with Childrens OCI card applications?
and what for adult OCI card application?

Any of the below documents needed to be uploaded for minors?
1) Professional Details of the applicant

2) Confirmation of Permanent Residence (CoPR)

3) Voter ID and Ration Card Declaration (if applicable

And for adult, is submission at BLS office is enough or do we need to upload them.

I am applying for OCI for my minor child (born in Canada) and need some clarification regarding the Declaration for Surrendering Voter ID and Ration Card form. Could someone please confirm the following points?

1. The CANV file number should be the one from the minor’s application form.
2. I should select Option 1 – “I have surrendered/deleted my Indian authorities after acquiring foreign nationality.”
3. The signature on the form should be mine (as parent/guardian).
4. For Name, Nationality, and Passport details, I should provide the minor’s details.

Can anyone please verify if this is correct?

At Vancouver BLS, when I submitted OCI application for my minor child, I was told that this form is not applicable for child born in Canada. You may want to check with BLS.

Yeah, I also thought the same, but they asked me to bring this form also.

Are you a canadian citizen with OCI ? If not, it may not be applicable for you

  July 26, 2025 → August 14, 2025 = 19 days
• Acknowledged to Granted
  August 14, 2025 → September 3, 2025 = 20 days
• Granted to Delivered
  September 3, 2025 → September 18, 2025 = 15 days
• Submission → Delivered (total)
  July 26, 2025 → September 18, 2025 = 54 days or 7 weeks and 5 days

I’d say any day now. If you used the premium lounge service, check the documents BLS uploaded on your behalf. My acknowledgement came close to the 3-week mark when I decided to see what was causing the delay. That’s when I found BLS had made an error on our declaration. Luckily, I was able to delete the incorrect document and re-upload it, and the acknowledgement came through a few days later. Don’t worry otherwise... Totally application time usually falls within the 6–8 week in most cases.

54 days in total for me.. Purolator messaged saying they will deliver tomorrow. I submitted at Mississauga BLS on July 26th for a Minor

I also called them. They said if the tracker says granted, then we need not worry. It will come soon. Let's keep our fingers crossed. Please inform if there is any update at your end.

In most cases, OCI card is delivered in under 3 weeks from granted.

It is six weeks since Granted on 7 August. No update after that. Whom should we contact to expedite. What can be the reason for the delay.

Submitted for me and my child in Surrey BLS on August 2nd, processing started on August 7th. Our first OCI card. Still under process. My wife submitted her renewal on 26th July and her was mailed from embassy to BLS today.
