I was told 8 weeks from Ack date or 10 weeks from Application date (on BLS site). So I think it will be pretty tight. I would get an E-Visa. My application is Oct.28 and Ack date is Nov.09 and I’m expecting it first or second week of January and am leaving on Feb.06.

You should be contacting FRRO. Once you have OCI it should just be some update about your status.
Even on a evisa you could ask for an extension. Better you get official confirmation about it.
