I am also in the same boat. Delivered OCI to CGI Toronto on 22nd and I am flying on Oct 4th. I am going to call BLS tomorrow to see if I can pickup instead of getting delivered.

The same for me, the OCI website states it got delivered to Toronto on the 22nd Sep but no update on BLS website since then, ideally it gets updated in a day after the delivery date. I am wondering what's changed.

Same here, all 3 dates 22nd Sept on OCI Status website but no update on BLS website... yes, historically BLS website updated in a day...

Before I reached BLS Brampton 40 Gillingham Dr last Thursday for OCI applications, I read all the messages from page #300 to 675. I wanted to know about the docs for uploading and as per the checklist. The below are some of messages I copied and found them useful.

Current Passport: Canadian Passport
Indian Origin Proof: Indian passport with cancelled and surrendered stamp
Indian Visa: CoPR with stamp of landing
Marriage Certificate (for self and spouse as well as for our son)

Then I clicked on Final Submit to submit the applications

Physical documents I carried to day to BLS:

The checklist
Printout of the online application form
Original Surrender Certificate (took original, but they asked for a copy and returned the original)
Indian Passport (Original and copy - Original was returned)
Citizenship certificate (Original and copy - Did not look at original at all)
Canadian passport (Original and copy - Did not look at original at all)
Draft for $345 (Individual drafts for each application)
Photo (Physical photo that was uploaded above)

Documents that were returned.
The checklists
All CoPR copies
All Originals ibcluding surrender certificates
The pages with instructions
Our Marriage certificate from our son's application.
Notes on returned documents: This was my experience so please carry all the documents and let them return them to you rather than not carrying them. Also all documents that were stapled together were unstapled when accepting them - so don't worry about stapling documents together.

just checked the uploaded doc list on my OCI Application PDF - and the only 3 docs that I uploaded were:
1) Current Passport (Canadian),
2) Previous Indian Passport of Self (Root) and
3) Professional Details letter

I self attested only the ones I submitted to BLS.. Not the ones I uploaded

For OCI I uploaded below based on information from their helpline

1) Current passport
2) Proof of Indian Origin (old Indian passport, surrender certificate)
3) India Visa - COPR (Landing Paper)
4) Relationship proof in case of minor - Birth Certificate
5) Marriage certificate - if applicable
6) Employment details in handwritten letter.

After completing the online OCI application, it asked me to upload documents. I only uploaded canadian n Indian passport and job letter. It did not give me option to upload surrender certificate, canadian citizenship certificate or proof of address which is present in OCI checklist. I am going to submit photocopies of all these documents when i go in person to bls but just want to check if this is normal. Thanks
Scan citizenship certificate along with Canadian passport
Scan surrender certificate along with cancelled Indian passport
Address proof needs to be submitted in physical format, not uploaded

But photocopy (self attested) is needed during postal/walkin submission
only things that need to be uploaded

Can you help please, to confirm the point regarding the "Professional Detail of applicant", can we submit the employment letter that will state that I am an employee of Xyz from so and so date? Will this suffice?

You can submit any letter. You can write professional details (name, employer name, role address, phone number) and yourself sign that also work.

That makes sense. I think it is averaging 20-25 days from acknowledgement for OCI to be issued.

My AOR date is 14th Sep so I don't have high hopes that I will get mine before my 6th Oct travel date.

Guess India travel will have to wait till Dec!

Issue: Canadian passport is valid but my Mozambican passport recently expired. What are the general guidelines when applying for OCI, I know a valid passport is required. I want to declare my Mozambican citizenship as well, but my current passport is expired. Do I need both passports to be valid or I can obtain OCI under Canadian passport and later renew my Mozambican passport.

Did you get the OCI. I can see both applications delivered on 23rd September but until today there is nothing on BLS. Still states processing at Consulate General, whats going on.

The OCI is linked to only one foreign passport. If your long term plan is to live in Canada then use your Canadian Passport to get the OCI. As per OCI checklist, a minimum of six months or more validity on your passport is required. Your other citizenship doesn't matter in this case.
