finally finally I submitted my OCi application at Toronto BLS.. there is no portal down or anything..

are they taking OCI from premium lounge ?

I don't know about premium. I just submitted through walk in.

Put NONE.
Make sure you have provided your and your wife's OCI application number in your kid's OCI application.
what did you put in: Relationship with the Root Indian??

Root Indian I put Grand father and it will ask for root name. They are living in India

Can someone kindly educate me if I am supposed to see the Acknowledgement date on this popup? My application was submitted on April 24th, 2025.
Also, why is the "Application Date" field constantly changing and showing incorrect date?

I’m probably not answering the question but I wouldn’t trust the info from the new portal.
Have you checked the status through the bls tracking page? I think that’s more updated than the oci website.
Because, my application shows pending on it but shows under process on bls page.

It's been "Processing at Consulate General" on BLS tracker since the first week of submission

CGI Toronto's Sampark now has a templated answer regarding OCI status. I asked them twice and have received the same response:

For OCI Status enquiry: Please visit (https://ociservices.gov.in/statusEnqury). You would need the passport number and OCI file reference number (CANT…………..) to check the status of an application. Once online status shows “Documents received at Toronto "such an date, please contact BLS​

Basically, it's useless. Pretty much on point for an Indian agency so I'm not surprised.

on earlier portal, it had an entry for Date of Acknowledgement - https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/oci-process.254662/page-1760

Applied OCI at Edmonton BLS on 26 Apr. 2 Adults 1 Kid

Date of Acknowledgement - 30 Apr 2025.

It still shows under process on OCI tracker and processing at Consulate general on BLS tracker.

Does anyone have any idea how much time it takes?

Website still shows OCI portal down.. almost 2 weeks now since it went down, standard Indian govt speeds.. maybe it'll be up by next year. Anyone know if they are accepting OCI applications at Vancouver location? Last time I went they turned me away because portal down.
